Fachhochschule Köln (Institur für Translation und Mehrsprachige Kommunikation), Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Bei dieser wissenschaftlichen Arbeit soll untersucht werden, ob es sich bei dem Buch "KulturSchock Cuba" von Jens Sobisch um einen typischen interkulturellen Ratgeber handelt. Ziel dieser Arbeit ist es, anhand von bereits aufgestellten Definitionen zu allgemeiner und interkultureller Ratgeberliteratur zu überprüfen, ob es sich bei dem Buch um einen typischen interkulturellen Ratgeber handelt. Zunächst wird in Kapitel zwei ein Überblick über Ratgeberliteratur gegeben. Da es sich bei interkulturellen Ratgebern um eine Sonderform der allgemeinen Ratgeberliteratur handelt, werden dann zuerst die Definitionsversuche zu Ratgebern an sich von Heimerdinger und Rolf dargestellt und in Kapitel drei die speziell zu interkulturellen Ratgebern erstellten Definitionsversuche von Poerner und König. Daraufhin werden in Kapitel 4 des Hauptteils die textinternen und textexternen Faktoren des Buches gemäß der Textanalyse nach Nord untersucht. Anschließend wird in Kapitel 5 anhand der Ergebnisse der Textanalyse überprüft, inwieweit die Definitionen auf „KulturSchock Cuba [sic!]“ zutreffen. Das Buch scheint auf den ersten Blick ein typischer interkultureller Ratgeber zu sein und in dem Proseminar zu interkultureller Ratgeberliteratur wurde es auch als Beispiel eines solchen genannt. Bei näherer Betrachtung allerdings fällt auf, dass nicht alle Merkmale eines interkulturellen Ratgebers zutreffend sind, weshalb ich der genannten Fragestellung nachgehen wollte. Da Ratgeberliteratur besonders für die kulturanthropologische-volkskundliche Forschung aufschlussreich ist, gibt es bereits einige wissenschaftliche Artikel und Fachliteratur zu dem Thema. Dabei bestehen verschiedene Ansichten wie Ratgeberliteratur und speziell interkulturelle Ratgeberliteratur definiert werden können.
