Berdasarkan data Direktorat Jendral Pajak, jumlah penerimaan pajak sektor UMKM tahun 2018 hanya sebesar Rp.5,7 triliun, padahal total penerimaan pajak yang mampu dikumpulkan pada tahun tersebut adalah Rp135,93 triliun, hal ini berarti kontribusi dari UMKM hanya 0,43%. Sehingga secara tidak langsung hal ini menunjukan bahwa tingkat kesadaran atau kepatuhan pajak UMKM masih rendah. Oleh karena itu, tingkat kepatuhan pajak dapat menjadi salah satu indikator seberapa besar pengaruh penerapan PP No.23 Tahun 2018. Pasokan rutin ke eksportir itu memberikan omzet Rp235 juta per bulan. Selain itu Zazid juga memasok produsen saus di Kendal, Jawa Tengah, 4 truk ase bandung per bulan. Harga beli ubi jalar untuk saus lebih rendah Rp3.500 per kg. Harap mafhum, standar mutu yang diminta pun lebih rendah. Keruan saja omzet Zazid makin besar. Itulah sebabnua Zazid mantap beralih profesi menjadi petani ubi jalar sejak 2017. Semula ia bekerja di perusahaan swasta di Kabupaten Malang sejak 2010.
