Kurikulum harus relevan dan mempertimbangkan perkembangan zaman agarkurikulum dapat emmberikan kontribusi dan manfaat bagi peserta didik. Selain itu, perubahan kurikulum harus mampu menyesuaikan diri dengan perubahan yang terjadi didunia Pendidikan saat ini. Dengan fleksibilitas ini, ada ruang untuk inovasi dan penyesuaian agar kurikulum tetap berjalan dengan baik.

This book is the proceedings of the 4th International Colloquium on Interdisciplinary Islamic Studies (ICIIS), which was held in conjunction with the 1st International Conference on Education, Science, Technology, Indonesian, and Islamic Studies (ICESTIIS) in Jambi, Indonesia, on 20-21 October 2021, using blended platforms, in person and online. The Graduate School of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta and UIN Sulthan Thaha Saifuddin, Jambi jointly organized the conference. This conference brought together academic researchers, business professionals, and graduate students to share their experiences and research findings on a wide variety of topics related to interdisciplinary Islamic studies. The proceedings are comprised of 52 high-quality papers chosen from more than 250 submissions. Islam and medicine, Islamic education, Islamic studies, psychology, the Qur'an and Hadith, and science and technology are the six issues covered in the papers. This publication is made possible by the committed steering and organizing committees who oversaw and organized the conference, as well as the reviewers for their academic contributions and commitment to assessing papers.

This is an open access book. The COVID-19 pandemic in the last two years has influenced how educational system works. Online learning became the primal policy taken by all institutions in the world to lower the risk of the virus spread. Despite the drawbacks of the online learning, teachers and students were accustomed with the distant learning through web meetings, Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other online learning platforms. In that time, topics under digital learning and education 5.0 were the main stakes in academic disseminations. This year some institutions start to conduct their teaching and learning process classically as before the pandemic, others are still continuing online and not few are in hybrid. This leaves a question: what learning reform should be made in post-pandemic era? This conference invites researchers, experts, teachers and students to discuss the coping solutions of the question. Kurikulum di Indonesia setelah Indonesia merdeka pada tahun 1945 telah mengalami 9 kali perubahan diantaranya adalah pada tahun 1947, 1952, 1964, 1968, 1975, 1984, 1994, 2004, 2006 dan 2013. Berbeda dengan itu, kemendikbud memaparkan tentang sejarah perkembangan kurikulum yaitu : Perkembangan kurikulum terdiri dari pertama kurikulum 1947, kedua kurikulum 1954, ketiga kurikulum kurikulum 1968, keempat kurikulum 1973 (Proyek Perintis Sekolah Pembangunan), kelima kurikulum 1975, keenam kurikulum 1984, ketujuh kurikulum 1994, kedelapan kurikulum 1997 (revisikurikulum 1994), sembilan kurikulum 2004 (Kurikulum Berbasis Kompetensi), kesepuluh kurikulum 2006 (Kurikulum Tingkat Satuan Pendidikan), kesebelas kurikulum 2013. Perubahan orientasi, desain, model dan lain sebagainya dengan tujuan utama untuk meningkatkan mutu dan kualitas pendidikan nasional serta mensejajarkan dengan pendidikan-pendidikan yang ada di dunia.

Kurikulum Indonesia selalu mengalami perkembangan mengikuti perkembangan zaman dan perubahan kebijakan politik nasional. Setiap perubahan berusaha menyempurnakan kurikulum sebelumnya, namun tetap saja dalam perubahan tersebut ditemukan banyak permasalahan. Rencana Pelajaran 1947 merupakan kurikulum pertama di Indonesia, tetapi baru efektif diterapkan sejak tahun 1950, kemudian secara berurutan mengalami perubahan atau penyempurnaan pada tahun 1952, 1964, 1968, 1973, 1975, 1984, 1994, 1999, 2004, 2006 dan 2013, serta revisi kurikulum 2013 pada tahun 2016. Perubahan kurikulum tersebut dapat dikelompokkan berdasarkan masa pemberlakuannya, yaitu: Kurikulum Sederhana dari tahun 1947 - 1964, Pembaharuan Kurikulum dari tahun 1968 - 1975, Kurikulum Berbasis Keterampilan Proses dari tahun 1984 - 1999, Kurikulum Berbasis Kompetensi dari tahun 2004 - 2006, Kurikulum Tingkat Satuan Pendidikan dari tahun 2006, dan Pendekatan Saintifik pada Kurikulum 2013. Kemudian sempat kembali menggunakan KTSP 2006, selanjutnya kurikulum ganda yaitu KTSP 2006 dan Kurikulum 2013 yang diserahkan kepada masing-masing penyelenggara pendidikan, dan sekarang kembali lagi menggunakan Kurikulum 2013 yang telah direvisi.
