Deux êtres qui forment un curieux duo d’historiens amateurs... Elle, Sophie Girard, médecin-guérisseuse, convertie à un christianisme orthodoxe, et lui, Jean-Charles Barthod, inlassable quêteur, « druide » ouvert au bouddhisme, ont en effet de quoi surprendre parmi ces vieilles pierres, y guettant les vestiges d’obscurs barons francs, méconnus de l’Histoire. Des figures qui font cependant le pont entre deux hauts lieux historiques qu’a priori rien ne rapproche. Qui relient Eleusis à Alésia, la Grèce au Doubs, deux terres où se célébraient rites et mystères, et où l’une des plus importantes énigmes archéologiques pourrait enfin s’élucider. L’on rentre tout d’abord précautionneusement dans ce roman qui explore, à l’instar d’un certain best-seller, le registre du suspense historico-religieux. Peu à peu pourtant, gagnés par la réflexion qui se met en place, les théories qui s’échafaudent, les concordances étranges qui se dévoilent... Difficile de ne pas succomber à la tentation de vous immerger pleinement dans ce double récit où hypothèses et révélations quant aux secrets du christianisme subjuguent, envoûtent et troublent. Il n’appartiendra alors qu’à vous de franchir le pas qui va de la fiction à la réalité.

CE QU'EN PENSE LA CRITIQUE L'éclaireur, est un roman qui nous fait voyager dans des contrées où l'espoir est rare, à "L'extrême limite de l'inhumain", où seules la filiation et la tradition semblent un rempart à la folie de la guerre. Le style s'apparente à un conte moderne, pas de digressions, l'auteur va à l'essentiel dans un style simple qui évoque la forme orale. Le jeune Aman est un personnage bien attachant, dans ses questionnements et ses émois d'adolescent. Bien que destiné à un public jeune, j'ai pris beaucoup de plaisir à découvrir ses aventures. - Cécile St Martin, Babelio Un récit simple. Un récit simple, qui touche au coeur. On espère faire entendre notre voix. La lier à celle des ancêtres pour qu'elle atteigne le pauvre Aman avant qu'il ne sombre entièrement. Consumé par le sang et les torpeurs narcotiques, on désespère de le voir déchoir... Et on se souvient de ce proverbe africain : " Un homme sage qui disparaît, c'est une bibliothèque qui brûle " - Instinct Polaire, Babelio À PROPOS DE L'AUTEUR Ethno-historienne, Isabelle Vouin-Bigot a vécu et enseigné durant six ans au Kenya où elle a partagé de nombreux moments avec les Maasaï. Elle a ensuite parcouru l'Ethiopie dans le cadre d'une recherche sur le khat. Après avoir séjourné durant un an en Thaïlande au sein de l'ethnie Karen, elle a vécu deux ans à Paris pour déposer enfin ses valises à Montpellier où elle élève ses enfants tout en peignant, écrivant des romans et enseignant l'histoire-géographie.

Francois Nouvion is well known collector and author of operatic subjects. He was born in Zurich and is a US citizen. He studied at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich and at Stanford University in Palo Alto. He worked mostly in the semiconductor testing equipment fi eld and sold US Equipment from Russia to Tokyo. Early on he became very interested in Opera and developed his knowledge in singing from the reissues by Guy Dumazert. He currently maintains a comprehensive website on tenors (historicaltenors.com) and a YouTube channel on Historical tenors. Although his interest on Irish-French tenor John O`Sullivan dates from his early days, he fi nally started researching the tenor`s career in the early 90s after meeting O’Sullivan’s children: Jacques, Colette and Raymonde. After much work contacting the different libraries all over the world, with the Paris and Marseilles libraries being the most diffi cult to work with, he fi nally started writing the O`Sullivan biography in 2007. It is now published. He only regrets that Jacques O’Sullivan, the tenor`s son, did not live to witness the publication.
