Alla fine del 2019 l’Università Roma Tre ha insediato un gruppo di lavoro sullo sviluppo sostenibile e nell’Anno accademico 2020/21 è stato lanciato un corso multidisciplinare sull’Agenda 2030 delle Nazioni Unite, aperto a tutti gli studenti dell’Ateneo. A una serie di lezioni comuni tenute da relatori di alto profilo si sono affiancati percorsi di approfondimento gestiti da docenti-guida nei singoli dipartimenti, in un disegno orientato a sottolineare la forza ideale e la valenza politica dell’Agenda 2030, ma anche a promuovere una lettura critica del suo impianto, esplorando le sinergie ma anche i trade off tra i suoi obiettivi, i cosiddetti Sustainable Development Goals. L’iniziativa, decisamente pioneristica nel suo taglio multidisciplinare rispetto all’offerta formativa di Ateneo, è stata un successo, con circa 500 studenti che hanno scelto di inserire l’insegnamento ne proprio piano di studi. Le tre lezioni che qui pubblichiamo sono particolarmente significative sia perchè riguardano temi centrali nell’impianto dell’Agenda 2030 – la lotta alla fame, le città sostenibili, l’economia circolare – sia perché tenute magistralmente da tre relatrici che rappresentano altrettante eccellenze nei loro campi professionali: Marcela Villarreal, vicedirettore della FAO, Catia Bastioli, ricercatrice e amministratore delegato di Novamont, e la nostra Chiara Tonelli, docente di Tecnologia dell’Architettura ed esperta di edilizia sostenibile.
