Este ensayo es el resultado de la investigación del logos fantástico y sus artificios inventivos para hacer surgir mundos, desde una disposición ingeniosa del pensamiento y en constante búsqueda de amistad entre las cosas distintas y distantes. Para abordar esto, su autor resuelve dos problemas centrales: primero, ¿cómo inferir una lógica para la fantasía desde una racionalidad incluyente, sin perder las elaboraciones de la imaginación y sin renunciar al juicio reflexivo de la razón?; y segundo, ¿cómo se puede concebir un método capaz de encontrar una conexión entre razón e imaginación, refiriéndose específicamente a la "universalidad fantástica" que ayuda a construir los relatos en dirección de las imágenes desiderativas, las madrigueras, los relatos, las metáforas y las intuiciones? Estas preguntas estructuran la forma de este ensayo en dos partes. Fantástica es, en definitiva, un trabajo de reflexión a contracorriente en el mundo académico, precisamente por hacer posible una lógica para inventar mundos.
