La crisis economica del ano 2001 no fue la unica que ocurrio en Argentina a finales del siglo veinte, sino que es parte de una sucesion de crisis que sufrio Latinoamerica durante toda la decada del noventa. Sin embargo la respuesta de los argentinos fue distinta a la que adoptaron otros habitantes de los paises latinoamericanos: el numero de inmigrantes que decide partir de la Argentina hacia distintas partes del mundo es el de mayor caudal migratorio en toda la historia de las migraciones del mencionado pais. En la presente investigacion analizaremos la inmigracion de los argentinos que eligieron como destino la provincia de Quebec luego de la mencionada crisis, migracion que se destaca por ser la mas numerosa en toda la historia de las migraciones entre la Argentina y Quebec. La ruptura del modelo economico y politico argentino no solo tuvo impacto en el nivel de ingresos de los futuros inmigrantes sino tambien en sus concepciones politicas, sus formas de asociarse y en sus perspectivas de futuro, circunstancias que influyeron de manera determinante en la decision de partir y en la manera de insertarse en la sociedad local."
