This book addresses the need to create an “axiological epistemology”. This term refers to knowledge of what is axiological, i.e. everything related to human values, and the know-how on how to manage the study of values. El problema que Occidente debe abordar en su nueva situación es, por una parte, revisar su misma noción de conocimiemto, para ampliarla: y, por otra, replantearse de nuevo el sentido de sus propias tradiciones religiosas. Mariano Corbí, profesor en ESADE y en el Instituto de Teología Fundamental de Barcelona, ha estudiado las consecuencias ideológicas y religiosas de las transformaciones de la sociedad industrial.
