Maria Savi-Lopez (Napoli, 1846 – 1940) è stata una musicista, poetessa, insegnante (all'Istituto Vittorio Emanuele II di Napoli ed all'istituto femminile Bech per stranieri) italiana, ma soprattutto studiosa di folklore e di leggende e tradizioni popolari. Da giovanissima si rifugiò a Torino poiché il padre era venuto in sospetto alla polizia borbonica e lì sposò nel 1875 il dottor Savi, che, però, morì pochi anni dopo, nel 1882.
