I due volumi sono il frutto della trascrizione delle lezioni tenute da Alessandro Biral sulla Rivoluzione Francese, il curatore si è attenuto il più fedelmente possibile al parlato, limitandosi solamente all’eliminazione di alcuni intercalari e a minimi interventi correttivi, soltanto quando la lettura avrebbe altrimenti rischiato di apparire poco comprensibile. Il testo che ne è risultato presenta quindi quelle ripetizioni, imprecisioni sintattiche e grammaticali, che sono tipiche del linguaggio parlato. Per questo, risulta ad un tempo più facile, ma anche più difficile da leggere. Più facile, perché rispecchia l’andamento delle lezioni, le ripetizioni, le esemplificazioni, il linguaggio piano, alla portata degli studenti; ma anche più difficile, perché richiede un piccolo sforzo di immaginazione: il lettore deve entrare un po’ nelle vesti del narratore, deve saper cogliere il senso delle argomentazioni. L’interesse di Alessandro Biral per la Francia rivoluzionaria trae origine dal fatto che ai suoi occhi la rivoluzione francese manifesta una caratteristica particolarmente importante per un filosofo della politica: la pratica del governo vi si presenta senza quei veli che, in altri periodi, ne adombrano i luoghi ed i riti. I dibattiti delle Assemblee rivoluzionarie spesso infatti anticipano ed estremizzano i grandi temi della democrazia contemporanea, primo fra tutti quello dell’uguaglianza.

Il tema copre diversi campi in modo interdisciplinare ed è ispirato all'argomento principale dell'esistenza e dell'essere umano con le sue domande basilari di chi sono, cosa voglio essere e cosa sarò nel ri-congiungimento di una religione o spiritualità interiore che necessariamente dovrà tendere a collimarsi con le vecchie e nuove scienze (quantistica e olistica) per lo sviluppo unitario e sistemico. La reale comprensione dell'UNO divino, idea ispiratrice di tutte le manifestazioni e del vero aspetto di tutti i fenomeni, rappresenta la vera condizione di libertà per giungere alla coscienza del proprio Sé impersonale
