La tesis de este libro es que no existe tal ciencia de la felicidad y que su discurso no conduce a una vida con más sentido, ni individual ni colectivo. Escrito por psicólogos de distintas especialidades, este volumen aporta una crítica integral de la psicología y de la ideología positivas de nuestro tiempo. Sin dejar de reconocer la racionalidad de la psicología positiva, muestra la inconsistencia de sus fundamentos y hallazgos científicos. Más que en la ciencia, el sentido de la psicología positiva se enmarca en una tradición ideológica muy peculiar (norteamericana, individualista y neoliberal). Por ello, la psicología positiva encierra su propio camino de servidumbre en el mundo del trabajo y de la nueva empresa. En definitiva, se propone un enfoque alternativo (sin recetas ni promesas) sobre la cuestión de la felicidad y su función en nuestras vidas.
