The dictionary is an excellent resource, but sometimes the very proper words in the dictionary aren't the ones you need to precisely describe a person, place, thing, or emotion. Edward Gorey and Lewis Carroll never needed to explain their nonsense words-either they were understood or not, but a sense of them tickled the surrounding lines and gave their writing a new color and flavor. Readers may not understand every undictionary entry in this issue, but they may quite like the poems' textures as you chew. Those were the questions asked of poets for this issue. The world is divided along several lines as we head into 2021. The pandemic is unlike anything experienced before. Tensions are running high between coworkers, educators and those they teach, neighbors, and even lifelong friends and family members. Relationships are dissolving Left and Right. The masked and unmasked glare at each other. The air we breathe and the surfaces we touch and the people we love are all potential killers. It's a plexiglass world, muffled and fogged. Family dynamics have shifted dramatically. And that which seems to be salvation-the vaccines-may not end social distancing for a very long time to come. We communicate via screens and signs and tears of longing and frustration. This will undoubtedly be the start and end of too many things. There is likely no one who doesn't know someone who was infected by the coronavirus-or killed by it. Poetry can't solve the toughest problems of society, but maybe it can offer a new perspective on them. There are off-topic poems herein, as well. Touching and funny, surprising and philosophical-they offer the chance to take a break from the stresses and strains eating into every aspect of our daily lives.

The Life and Works of Korean Poet Kim Myŏng-sun offers an introduction to Korea’s first modern woman writer to publish a collection of creative works, Kim Myŏng-sun (1896–ca. 1954). Despite attempts by male contemporaries to assassinate her character, Kim was an outspoken writer and an early feminist, confronting patriarchal Korean society in essays, plays, poems, and short stories. This volume is the first to offer a detailed analysis in English of Kim’s poetry. The poems examined in this volume can be considered early twentieth-century versions of #MeToo literature, mirroring the harrowing account of her sexual assault, and also subversive challenges to traditional institutions, dealing with themes such as romantic free love, same-sex love, single womanhood, and explicit female desire and passion. This volume brings together for the first time the writings of Charles Wesley on the theme of justice for the poor and marginalized, drawing upon his sermons, manuscript journal, poetry, and a few letters. Most of his poems/hymns that address poverty and justice were left unpublished at his death. The author studies the theology of these texts for the first time in relation to relevant themes in his sermons, manuscript journal, and letters, and evaluates it in the light of its application and implementation in the eighteenth century and its viability for the twenty-first-century church and Christian. Charles's views of how Christians may "use divine grace divine" in seeking justice for the poor are indeed radical, for they advocate behavior that is often quite contrary to what is generally accepted as Christian practice. This volume makes clear that the radical grace he espouses is consistent with Holy Scripture and should indeed be practiced by Christians today. The liturgies and musical settings of some of the hymn texts that address the poor and marginalized at the end of the volume provide a pragmatic means for the worshipping community to integrate the principles of radical grace into their theology and praxis.

A Child's Garden of Verses is a collection of poetry for children by the Scottish author Robert Louis Stevenson. The collection first appeared in 1885 under the title Penny Whistles, but has been reprinted many times, often in illustrated versions. It contains about 65 poems including the cherished classics "Foreign Children," "The Lamplighter," "The Land of Counterpane," "Bed in Summer," "My Shadow" and "The Swing." The classical scholar Terrot Reaveley Glover published a translation of the poems into Latin in 1922 under the title Carmina non prius audita de ludis et hortis virginibus puerisque.
