La valutazione delle performance rappresenta uno dei principali assi di rinnovamento della pubblica amministrazione italiana. Nel nostro Paese, il settore artistico e culturale rappresenta l’ambito di elezione principale per sperimentare nuove modalità di valutazione dei risultati soprattutto se quest’attività è propedeutica alla formulazione di politiche pubbliche per l’arte e la cultura di nuova generazione. L’importanza annessa a quest’ attività, tuttavia, non sempre si accompagna ad una conoscenza condivisa su cosa si intenda per valutazione, quali risultati (o, appunto, performance) è possibile misurare e, successivamente, valutare, quali modalità e attori possono essere coinvolti nel processo di valutazione. Obiettivo principale di questo volume è quindi quello di dipanare alcune questioni chiave relativamente all’attività di valutazione delle performance in ambito culturale con particolare riferimento alle pratiche di governance delle reti di pubblico interesse che sempre più frequentemente vengono sviluppate per rilanciare e valorizzare il patrimonio culturale di determinati territori.

This book illustrates the scientific results of the studies and researches on strategic transformation areas in the city of Pescara. The studies were performed as part of the important Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Department of Architecture of the Università G. d’Annunzio and the Pescara Municipality. The first volume focuses on the ‘Vision’, i.e., the city of the future concept involving the establishment of strategic medium-to-long term objectives. The first volume also provides concise information about the projects for the ten strategic urban areas drafted during the Summer School 2015; these are the ten most important urban opportunities Pescara believes will make the city territorially competitive in the years to come. The second book illustrates the roughly twenty research Dossiers focusing on the multidisciplinary scientific topics applied to the Pescara case studies.
