Nel 1995 con il mio libro 'Pari opportunità: il diritto alla cultura', avevo cercato di evidenziare il fatto che - a mio giudizio- nel nostro paese la cultura delle pari opportunità tra uomini e donne, soprattutto nel mondo del lavoro, era assai più arretrata rispetto alle leggi che erano uscite in quegli anni '90, in particolare la legge 125 del '91 e la 215 del '92, che riuscì ad avere il regolamento di attuazione alla fine del '97. Ma oggi, anno 2000, quale è il bilancio di leggi avanzate nelle intenzioni, ma in realtà forse troppo protettive, tali da trovare scarsa applicazione nella pratica della vita lavorativa? E le donne, che in questi ultimi cinque anni sono entrate come una sorta di "valanga" nel mercato del lavoro, specie nel nord del Paese, conoscono le leggi che le riguardano, le opportunità e gli eventuali rischi - sul piano pratico e concreto - che dalla richiesta di applicazione di quelle stesse leggi dovrebbero derivare? Oggi che cosa chiedono le donne giovani o meno giovani alle istituzioni: altre leggi, oppure servizi che consentano alla fine di essere meno condizionate che nel passato rispetto alle loro scelte individuali?

The influx of female migrants to Europe has posed challenges to established European feminist movements.
