Già Socrate, filosofo e logico greco, nel ‘400 A.C. col suo “conosci te stesso” invitava gli uomini a sviluppare il pensiero e la propria coscienza razionale. Più tardi nel 1600 Cartesio (René Descartes) fondatore della filosofia moderna, col suo “cogito ergo sum” pone il pensiero dell’uomo al centro della filosofia, invitando a non ammettere come vero nulla che non sia riconosciuto con evidenza. Chiunque cerchi di capire qualcosa di più dovrebbe partire dall’insegnamento di questi due grandi pensatori. Questo significa mettere da parte ogni forma di pensiero dogmatico, come quello delle religioni, nonché il pensiero metafisico ed esoterico, che non poggiano su riscontri verificabili. Credo invece che ci si debba basare sulla “logica”, una forma di pensiero che è presente in ciascuno di noi. Questo è il motivo per cui molti filosofi ritengono che, man mano che cresce la conoscenza, il sapere umano si sposti dalla filosofia alla scienza, che è in grado di elaborare “dimostrazioni” per comprovare l’evidenza di quanto si afferma, e di poter essere anche contraddetta sulla base di argomentazioni logiche e razionali. Al di fuori di questo, esistono soltanto mere elucubrazioni mentali senza riscontro, che non aiutano a procedere sulla strada della vera conoscenza. Purtroppo il persistere di un pensiero dogmatico ideologico ed irrazionale, come quello dei “terrapiattisti” e dei “no vax”, che già condanna l’uomo ad una condizione pre-umana nel non utilizzare tutte le doti che la natura gli ha dato, rischia di condannare l’umanità ad un inesorabile declino. Vittorio Savini, nato a Russi di Romagna laureato all’università di Bologna in ingegneria civile. Ha svolto la sua attività lavorativa soprattutto come libero professionista. Negli anni ’60 organizzò nel suo comune un Centro Giovanile con oltre 150 ragazzi e ragazze con attività culturali e ricreative, e partecipò al Movimento Studentesco bolognese nel ’68 e ’69. Successivamente assunse il ruolo di assessore e vice sindaco nel proprio comune e poi di assessore della provincia di Ravenna. Ha sempre coltivato interesse per la scienza, la psicologia e la filosofia, ha praticato attività sportive in gioventù, soprattutto calcio ma anche nuoto, sci e vela. Dal 2017 si è dedicato alla saggistica, pubblicando per Albatros: L’universo deterministico, Non c’è più religione?, Immigrazione: c’è posto per tutti? col quale ha vinto un premio speciale nel “Concorso Letterario Internazionale di Montefiore”. Conosce bene Il francese, benino l’inglese, un po’ il tedesco. Ama la musica e suona l’armonica in un gruppo di musica celtica. Ama coltivare le amicizie, la convivialità, la conversazione e la buona tavola, in particolare cappelletti e braciole di castrato, da bravo romagnolo verace.
