Le sens de la recherche sur le management en Afrique se transforme de manière progressive. Si celle-ci a longtemps été réduite à la compréhension des contextes africains, il s’agit aujourd’hui de tracer les voies de l’utilisation des savoirs produits : il ne s’agit plus de « comprendre le monde », mais de « comprendre le monde pour le changer », à travers la production de savoirs actionnables. Les différents chapitres contribuent à la valorisation du projet scientifique porté par le sociologue camerounais et bien d’autres chercheurs du champ des sciences de l’organisation dans les environnements sociaux africains. This book offers an authoritative study of election observation in Africa and its relation with democratization processes. Election observation is a hotly debated issue in contemporary international relations and in political science. His investigation of therapeutic routines in surgery, maternity care, psychiatry, and the treatment of dysentery and leprosy reveals the incoherent nature of biomedicine and not just in Africa.
