Désormais à la retraite, il consacre son temps à la sculpture sur pierre, la lecture, la course à pied, l’archéologie et l’écriture. Passionné par l’Histoire de France en général et celle de la Bretagne en particulier, il a créé le personnage de François Le Roy, un policier bigouden intuitif mais gardant les pieds bien calés sur la terre de ses ancêtres. Les aventures de cet inspecteur de police breton, plutôt atypique, se déroulent au XIXe siècle, dans le Finistère du Second Empire.
