Le voci dell’anima. È con coraggio che Luisa Spassino si mette a nudo in questo testo, andando a condividere, con la delicatezza che la caratterizza, i suoi più recessi pensieri, il suo sentire più profondo, in modo felice e luminoso. Le immagini che l’autrice utilizza per rappresentare e veicolare i suoi pensieri infatti, sono sempre traboccanti di luce e di vita. Anche là dove, talvolta, scorrendo il testo lo vediamo adagiarsi sulla malinconia e su una certa sottesa tristezza, è comunque presente un elemento che rischiara la composizione, un profumo, una luce lunare, una singolarità che apporta un messaggio di speranza o di quiete: quelle stesse voci che fanno capolino nel titolo della silloge sono lirica metafora di una felicità sottile, di un luminoso struggimento. Luisa Carmen Teresa Spassino è originaria di Salussola (BI). Nata il 26 settembre 1970, è figlia di una casalinga e un pollicoltore, si è trasferita all’età di 13 anni ad Occhieppo Superiore nei pressi di Biella dove ha frequentato la scuola per segretaria d’azienda. Ha lavorato per 4 anni in un’agenzia di assicurazioni e poi si è trasferita nel 1999 a Buronzo, un paesino circondato dalle risaie in provincia di Vercelli, dove vive tuttora. Ha fatto l’operaia a cottimo, montando cablaggi per conto terzi e l’operaia agricola in un vivaio della zona. Ora casalinga, nel tempo libero oltre a scrivere poesie, ha tradotto otto libri dal francese ed ama andare in bicicletta.

Questa raccolta di poesie, Voci dell'anima, si sviluppa in un arco di tempo di circa 15 anni e racchiude sentimenti e vissuti sempre vibranti e carichi di emozione. Essa rappresenta l'evoluzione dell'autrice nelle sue corde più intime appunto come: “voci dell'anima”. Marina De Angelis nasce a Rieti il 31/07/1961 e in questa cittadina ridente e quieta trascorre la sua infanzia. Sin da piccola rivela uno spropositato amore verso la poesia, già a 10 anni compone i suoi primi versi e questo la porterà a fare degli studi umanistici. Contemporaneamente matura in lei il desiderio di aiutare l'altro, lo svantaggiato, il malato e di recare sollievo alle anime più sofferenti. Intraprende quindi un percorso formativo come educatore sociale che la porterà in breve tempo a lavorare con anziani affetti da demenza e varie altre patologie. Pubblica nel corso degli anni piccole opere e raccolte di poesia e inoltre vince diversi concorsi che la fanno conoscere nelle realtà locali.

As a writer, Carlo Levi has had the misfortune to be known as the author of one book, Christ Stopped at Eboli, the account of his years of internal banishment by the Fascist authorities to a remote village in the south of Italy. That book was recognised as a masterpiece of anti-Fascist literature and as a sensitive investigation of the way of life of a people at the margins of European civilisation. It enjoyed enormous success in the post-war period not only in Italy but also in Britain and the USA, and has been continuously in print since its first publication. However, Levi was also a painter of some repute, a novelist, a journalist, a critic of art and society, a political commentator, and above all, a wholly idiosyncratic travel writer whose reports on the countries and regions he visited, including Sicily, Sardinia, Germany, the USSR and India, were also reflections on Italy. This book attempts to assess the totality of Levi's achievement. Come scrittore, Carlo Levi ha avuto la sfortuna di essere celebrato come autore di un libro solo, Cristo si è fermato ad Eboli, la narrativa dei suoi anni di confino nel Mezzogiorno sotto il regime fascista. Sin dal momento della sua pubblicazione nel primo dopoguerra, questo libro è stato riconosciuto come capolavoro della letteratura anti-fascista e come indagine penetrante della cultura di un popolo ai margini della civiltà europea. Comunque, Levi fu anche pittore di grande talento, romanziere, critico d'arte, critico della società, commentatore politico e viaggiatore-scrittore di libri di viaggi sui generis. I suoi articoli, che poi divennero libri, sui paesi e sulle regioni che visitò - la Sicilia, la Sardegna, la Germania e l'India - si rivelarono anche riflessioni sulla condizione dell'Italia. Questa raccolta di saggi è una rivalutazione della totalità delle opere di Carlo Levi.
