Belakangan ini beredar buku berjudul "Sejarah Berdarah Sekte Salafi Wahabi"(SBSSW) yang dikarang oleh seseorang yang mengaku bernama Syaikh Idahram. Buku tersebut berisi gugatan dan caci maki terhadap apa yang disebut dengan "Gerakan Salafi Wahabi". Kalau sekadar kritik yang obyektif, tentu tak masalah. Karena setiap orang dan kelompok bisa saja mempunyai kecenderungan keliru, berlebihan, mau benar sendiri dan menyalahkan orang lain. Namun jika kritik dan celaan tersebut berlebihan dan berbohong bahkan mengandung manipulasi fakta, tentu saja hal ini menimbulkan masalah serius dan fitnah. Bayangkan saja, akibat beredarnya buku Syaikh Idahram itu, sebuah kegiatan pengajian ditutup karena dituduh Wahabi. Padahal, apa yang dimaksud dengan Wahabi itu tidak jelas definisinya. Jangan sampai masyarakat awam diadu domba oleh buku fitnah semacam itu. Belum reda kontroversi buku pertama sudah muncul buku kedua/'Mereka Memalsukan Kitab-kitab Karya Ulama Klasik'(MMKKUK); kemudian muncul lagi, "Ulama Sejagad Menggugat Salafi Wahabi" (USMSW). Maka situasi fitnah pun kian merebak. Sebagai manusia, Syaikh Muhammad bin Abdul Wahhab tentu tak lepas dari dosa dan khilaf. Sebagai gerakan dakwah, Wahabi bukanlah tempat berkumpulnya para malaikat yang terjaga dari dosa. Karenanya, kami memberi judul buku ini "Bersikap Adil Kepada Wahabi", karena keadilan dan obyektivitas itu seruan Islam. Adapun sikap tidak jujur, mengadu domba, fanatik buta, itu ajaran setan. Buku ini juga mengupas dugaan adanya "penumpang gelap" di balik kampanye anti Wahabi. Mereka tak lain adalah kelompok Syiah, dan kelompok yang menjajakan paham Sepilis (sekularisme, pluralisme, dan liberalisme). Akibatnya, kritik terhadap Wahabi tak lagi jernih, tapi sudah keruh oleh bermacam kepentingan, khususnya dalam menghalanai implementasi nilai-nilai syariat Islam di bumi Nusantara. Pada tanggal 10 Maret 2004, sejumlah tokoh Tionghoa di wilayah Semarang berkumpul di Kelenteng Tay Kek Sie guna menahbiskan Gus Dur sebagai Bapak Tionghoa Indonesia. Penahbis- an itu ditandai dengan ucapan selamat dari para tokoh masyarakat Tionghoa. Selang beberapa saat, Gus Dur mengenakan baju congsan (baju kebesaran Tionghoa) dengan warna merah menyala bermotif kuning. Gus Dur yang selalu memegang tongkat itu kemudian diajak berfoto bersama dengan para tokoh Tionghoa, murid- murid SD, dan pengikut setia Gus Dur dari NU serta masyarakat umum di depan Kelenteng Tay Kak Sie. Ketika mengetahui dirinya ditahbiskan sebagai Bapak Tionghoa, Gus Dur mengatakan: “Saya mau dijadikan apa saja tidak ada masalah. Bahkan mau dijadikan penjaga pun tidak apa- v i Bapak Tionghoa Indonesia apa. Apalagi saya juga keturunan etnis Tionghoa dari marga Tan.” Mendengar pernyataan itu, semua hadirin segera memberikan tepuk tangan. Gus Dur memang tokoh yang tidak pernah mengedepankan kepentingan pribadinya. Tetapi, bagaimana Gus Dur menjadi tokoh pilihan kalangan Tionghoa yang pantas menyandang gelar Bapak Tionghoa Indonesia adalah sesuatu yang pantas dibaca dan dipelajari dari buku ini. Yang perlu diketahui lebih awal adalah keber- pihakan dan pembelaan Gus Dur terhadap orang- orang Tionghoa, dan kaum minoritas lainnya, dalam kehidupan berbangsa dan bernegara. Buku yang ada di tangan pembaca ini adalah kumpulan hasil penelitian dan pemikiran MN. Ibad dan Akhmad Fikri AF; dua orang penulis, pemerhati, dan sekaligus pengamal pemikiran dan ajaran Gus Dur. This book is the first work that comprehensively presents the accounts of Lia Eden, a former flower arranger who claims to have received divine messages from the Archangel Gabriel and founded the divine Eden Kingdom in her house in Jakarta. This book places Lia Eden’s prophetic trajectory in the context of diverse Indonesian spiritual and religious traditions, by which hundreds of others also claimed to have been commanded by God to lead people and to establish religious groups. This book offers a fresh approach towards the rich Indonesian religious and spiritual traditions with particular attention to the accounts of the emergence of indigenous prophets who founded some popular religions. It presents the history of prophetic tradition which remains alive in Indonesian society from the colonial to reform period. It also explores the ways in which these prophets rebelled against two hegemonies: colonial power in the past and Islamic orthodoxy in the present. The discussion of this book focuses on Lia Eden including her biography, claims to prophethood and divinity, the development of her group Eden Kingdom, her challenge to Islamic orthodoxy under the banner of the MUI (Indonesian Ulama Council), her persecution by radical groups, her experiences in court trials and imprisonment, and public responses to her emergence.
