Si l'art est un sport de combat, et au-delà du slogan, c'est qu'il présente avec cette pratique un certain nombre d'analogies : l'engagement, la tension, l'affrontement, la rupture, entre autres. Ainsi, plutôt que de restreindre le propos, la référence aux sports de combat serait l'occasion de l'élargir et de montrer, à côté d'oeuvres explicitement inspirées de la boxe, du kung-fu ou du catch, des travaux fondés sur cette énergie tendue et physique qui disent autant de la spécificité de l'art que des forces en jeu dans les sports de lutte."--Page 4 of cover.
