Aus diesem Grund müssen die Lieferanten-Abnehmer-Beziehungen mit dem Ziel intensiviert werden, dass Kosten gesenkt werden, Null-Fehler-Belieferungen erfolgen und Entwicklungs- und Logistikverantwortung auf Lieferanten übertragen werden. Die Planung, Steuerung und Kontrolle von Abnehmer-Lieferanten-Beziehungen bilden die Grundlage für eine erfolgreiche Integration und den nachhaltigen Unternehmenserfolg. Ziel dieser Arbeit ist es, einen Überblick zu den Aufgaben und Instrumenten des Beschaffungscontrollings, des Risikomanagements und der Lieferantenbewertung, sowie deren Verknüpfung untereinander zu vermitteln. Es soll aufgezeigt werden, dass die drei Disziplinen eigenständige Funktionen im Unternehmen darstellen, die allerdings nur zusammen ein aussagekräftiges, risikoorientiertes Lieferantenbewertungssystem bilden können.

Durch die zunehmende Bedeutung der Beschaffung in der Industrie wird ein leistungsfähiges, risikoorientiertes Lieferantenbewertungssystem benötigt. Die Planung, Steuerung und Kontrolle von Abnehmer-Lieferanten-Beziehungen bilden die Grundlage für eine erfolgreiche Integration und den nachhaltigen Unternehmenserfolg. Der Aufbau orientiert sich anhand des Informationsflusses im Unternehmen vom Beschaffungscontrolling über das Risikomanagement hin zur Lieferantenbewertung. Zuvor wird jedoch die Einordnung der Arbeit in die Logistik beschrieben. Hierfür wird die Logistik definiert und die Aufgabengebiete aufgezeigt. Das Kapitel 3 setzt sich thematisch mit dem Beschaffungscontrolling auseinander. Nach der Begriffsbestimmung erfolgt die Darlegung der Informationssysteme sowie der Instrumente zum Beschaffungscontrolling Hierbei wird besonders die Informationsversorgungsfunktion herausgearbeitet.
