Reasonable Faith written by William Lane Craig and has been published by this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2008 with Religion categories.

Perfect as a textbook yet excellent for lay readers, this updated edition builds a positive case for Christianity by applying the latest thought to core theological themes. J. Gresham Machen once said, "False ideas are the greatest obstacles to the reception of the gospel"-which makes apologetics that much more important. Wanting to engage not just academics and pastors but Christian laypeople and seekers, William Lane Craig has revised and updated key sections in this third edition of his classic text to reflect the latest work in astrophysics, philosophy, probability calculus, the arguments for the existence of God, and Reformed epistemology. His approach-that of positive apologetics-gives careful attention to crucial questions and concerns, including: the relationship of faith and reason, the existence of God, the problems of historical knowledge and miracles, the personal claims of Christ, and the historicity of the resurrection of Jesus. He shows that there is good reason to think Christianity is true. As Craig says, "If you have a sound and persuasive case for Christianity, you don't have to become an expert in comparative religions and Christian cults. A positive justification of the Christian faith automatically overwhelms all competing world views lacking an equally strong case."

Living Without God written by Ronald Aronson and has been published by Catapult this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2009-08-18 with Religion categories.

Ronald Aronson has a mission: to demonstrate that a life without religion can be coherent, moral, and committed. Optimistic and stirring, Living Without God is less interested in attacking religion than in developing a positive philosophy for atheists, agnostics, secular humanists, skeptics, and freethinkers. Aronson proposes contemporary answers to Immanuel Kant's three great questions: What can I know? What ought I to do? What can I hope? Grounded in the sense that we are deeply dependent and interconnected beings who are rooted in the universe, nature, history, society, and the global economy, Living Without God explores the experience and issues of 21st–century secularists, especially in America. Reflecting on such perplexing questions as why we are grateful for life's gifts, who or what is responsible for inequalities, and how to live in the face of aging and dying, Living Without God is also refreshingly topical, touching on such subjects as contemporary terrorism, the war in Iraq, affirmative action, and the remarkable rise of Barack Obama.

Sufficient scientific evidence has emerged for the science-minded people to accept that our universe was created and is run without God. And that life was created and has evolved without external power. The concept of God was mans creation, and in the dark ages, before science, it was inevitable that man should create God. But those who accept, in the face of the scientific discoveries, that God does not have to exist to explain the existence of universe or life on Earth, are now faced with an important question: Is there a God that plays a role in the personal life of every individual? If we delete God from all other explanations, is it rational to still believe in an entity that micromanages the lives of all individuals on the Earth? Is it possible to visualize how the world and our lives could go on without somebody up there who listens to our prayers, intervenes in our lives, and rewards or punishes our deeds? The World without God is a thought-provoking treatise, which describes this universe, and the human life, without depending on concepts like the existence of God, the divine mission, destiny, divine justice, soul with existence independent of the body, and life after death.

This endearing friendship story about a boy and his dog from a Pulitzer Prize–winning writer gently explores a timeless question: who’s really in charge? Meet Sid. He’s an ordinary kid. He’s far from perfect. But to Murphy, Sid’s faithful dog, Sid is the whole world. Murphy thinks Sid is the absolute best—and that he’s in charge of everything. Sid loves Murphy right back, but he can’t help but wonder what Murphy would think if he realized the truth: Sid’s just a kid, and Murphy’s just a dog, and neither one can control the world. This deceptively simply picture book is the perfect start to a discussion about a subject seldom seen in children’s books—the nonthreatening feel of a world based on fact and reason, and not faith.

Religion Without God written by Ronald Dworkin and has been published by Harvard University Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2013-10-01 with Philosophy categories.

In his last book, Ronald Dworkin addresses questions that men and women have asked through the ages: What is religion and what is God’s place in it? What is death and what is immortality? Based on the 2011 Einstein Lectures, Religion without God is inspired by remarks Einstein made that if religion consists of awe toward mysteries which “manifest themselves in the highest wisdom and the most radiant beauty, and which our dull faculties can comprehend only in the most primitive forms,” then, he, Einstein, was a religious person. Dworkin joins Einstein’s sense of cosmic mystery and beauty to the claim that value is objective, independent of mind, and immanent in the world. He rejects the metaphysics of naturalism—that nothing is real except what can be studied by the natural sciences. Belief in God is one manifestation of this deeper worldview, but not the only one. The conviction that God underwrites value presupposes a prior commitment to the independent reality of that value—a commitment that is available to nonbelievers as well. So theists share a commitment with some atheists that is more fundamental than what divides them. Freedom of religion should flow not from a respect for belief in God but from the right to ethical independence. Dworkin hoped that this short book would contribute to rational conversation and the softening of religious fear and hatred. Religion without God is the work of a humanist who recognized both the possibilities and limitations of humanity.

Do you sense that you have a mission in life but are unable to accept the existence of a supreme being? Are you irritated by people who perpetually want to...save you? Are you looking for a philosophy of life that leads to a happy and contented life without faith? In the first part of his book, Dr. Tzannes shows the absurdity of religious dogmas and practices--information you need to face down all those religious zealots and annoying proselytizers. In the second part, he answers questions such as "why are we here?" "what is good or evil?" "how do we find happiness?" etc., proving that happiness and fulfillment in life are easily within reach, with no need for God or organized religions. All ideas are presented through a series of heated, humorous dialogues that need no Ph.D. in philosophy to be enjoyed--just common sense and a freethinking mind.
