Such material has not been well documented in the past and is particularly appropriate for analysis which is not narrowly prescriptive."--BOOK JACKET. "This flexible and educational tool of analysis will enable carers, educators, care managers and workers in day and residential services to work more closely with their clients, to ensure that more choice is made available today to those whose voices have not always been heard. O the bliss of this glorious thought; God wants to pour out His blessing upon His creation. The fact is and the reality of the situation is that man's immorality, godlessness, and lawlessness has prevented the Divine from doing so. As we visualize with our mind's eye events of the past, we can with remarkable accuracy watch the scene unfold like an ongoing drama. The curtain is drawn and the future comes upon us as a wild fire destroying everything in its path. Enemies of Israel call for her destruction. Armies are surrounding Jerusalem. Regardless as to the dismal outlook of some, Friday of Holy Week brought a plumage in a reservoir of hope. The story was not completed when the followers left the sepulcher that Friday evening. The day of rest presented an opportunity for the miracle of the resurrection to be witnessed by them. As the stone shook away from the entry to the tomb, so are we set free from the sins which hold us from joy, love, and peace. When He returns a resurrection will be known around the world. The sky will be opened and the Resurrected Christ will appear as King of Kings.

Spirituality often plays a critical role in health and wellness, yet few have explored in detail the process through which practitioners can identify and use clients' spiritual strengths to their mutual advantage. To address this gap, this practice-oriented text equips helping professionals with the tools they need to administer spiritual assessments ethically and professionally. David R. Hodge outlines a number of assessment approaches, including an implicit method for evaluating "secular" forms of spirituality. Case examples illustrate the implementation of these strategies in different clinical settings and with groups from diverse racial, geographic, and socioeconomic backgrounds.

Learning from children about citizenship status and how it shapes their schooling There is a persistent assumption in the field of education that children are largely unaware of their immigration status and its implications. In Knowing Silence, Ariana Mangual Figueroa challenges this “myth of ignorance.” By listening carefully to both the speech and significant silences of six Latina students from mixed-immigration-status families, from elementary school into middle school and beyond, she reveals the complex ways young people understand and negotiate immigration status and its impact on their lives. Providing these children with iPod Touches to record their own conversations, Mangual Figueroa observes when and how they choose to talk about citizenship at home, at school, and in public spaces. Analyzing family conversations about school forms, in-class writing assignments, encounters with the police, and applications for college, she demonstrates that children grapple with the realities of citizenship from an early age. Educators who underestimate children’s knowledge, Mangual Figueroa shows, can marginalize or misunderstand these students and their families. Combining significant empirical findings with reflections on the ethical questions surrounding research and responsibility, Mangual Figueroa models new ways scholars might collaborate with educators, children, and families. With rigorous and innovative ethnographic methodologies, Knowing Silence makes audible the experiences of immigrant-origin students in their own terms, ultimately offering teachers and researchers a crucial framework for understanding citizenship in the contemporary classroom.
