In the last 5 years, approximately 2.7 million people have been treated for epilepsy and between 0.5%-2% of people will develop epilepsy during their lifetime. Up to 5% of the worldwide population may have a single seizure in their lifetime. Psychogenic Non-Epileptic Seizures (PNES) can cause blackouts, collapses, involuntary movements, loss of memory and have major impact on quality of life.
