"I have found David my servant; with my holy oil have I anointed him" - Psalm 89:20 "But now thy kingdom shall not continue: the LORD hath sought him a man after his own heart..." - 1 Samuel 13:14. The words 'found' and 'sought' would not have been used if someone has not been on a search for somebody. The importance of an assignment is what determines the quality of the personnel you search for to carry out the assignment. The weight of an assignment determines the quality of character you look out for in the person to deliver the assignment. And the urgency of an assignment will determine the kind of attention you pay to the person and personality of the one that will carry it out. God is an all-time Searcher of people. In every generation, "God's eyes always go through the whole earth looking for people after His own heart" - 2 Chronicles 16:9. Age, stature, look, status, background, be it family or academic does not really matter to God. The Bible records that God picked Joseph the eleventh child of Jacob in his own time. He chose Moses, a man with voice impediment to lead Israel out of captivity in Egypt. God also raised an impoverished and frustrated Gideon who was clamouring for change and deliverance to set the Israelites free from the Midianites then. Biographical research also confirmed that God searched out people with different backgrounds in our contemporary world; not minding their abilities, disabilities or state. For instance, God sought out the blind John Milton, the English poet and author of the immortal classic, 'Paradise Lost', one of the most sublime works of poetry ever written. Christian Evans the great preacher was blind in one eye. Fanny Crosby the great hymn writer was also blind. Beethoven, the great genius was deaf and W. J. Seymour who caused the Great Azuza revival, the beginning of modern-day Pentecostalism was impaired in one eye. Kenneth E. Hagin was sought out by God in 1947 just 2 years after the end of the Second World War in 1945 with healing ministry in America. Hagin whom God healed miraculously of heart problem at age 17 gave himself to prayers for months and years in the early days of his life. Millions of lives have read his faith books and have been transformed. I personally did not read his books until after his death, yet his works still imparted me even when he had gone into glory. What a privilege it is to have a heart for God! It makes you remain in everlasting remembrance and your impact ceaseless. So friend, I believe the living God has a particular assignment for each of us too in this generation. God is on the lookout for vessels He will use to demonstrate His unchallengeable power again, but where are the thirsty and ready souls? He wants to pour out His power so that He can put the enemies and the avengers under check and control. "O LORD, our Lord, How excellent is Your name in all the earth, Who have set Your glory above the heavens! Out of the mouth of babes and nursing infants You have ordained strength, Because of Your enemies, That You may silence the enemy and the avenger." - Psalm 8:1-2 For this cause I know you were created for a purpose. There is a certain reason why you are in the world at a time like this. God has a prophetic agenda for this generation but He wants your heart to align with His heart so that you can carry out His divine mandate for this age. I know God does not discriminate, but He will appoint whoever pleases Him. He operates by Biblical values and principles. Some of these values and principles are set forth in this small but loaded and powerful book in your hand.
