Engendró muchos proyectos, de los cuales destaca la creación de la Sociedad Filarmónica y literaria, con la cual promovió la celebración de unos Juegos Florales. Fue nombrado cronista de la ciudad de Barcelona y se encargó de nombrar algunas de las calles de la ciudad con nombres de personajes históricos.
