For years I have lived my life taking care of my home, children, working and taking care of people with disabilities. Until one day without warning I was in an auto accident and my life changed forever. Having close to twenty-one surgeries and months of therapy and not only healing up my injuries, I lost the use of my arms and hands for three years. I am not one to give up and continued to search for help until I found a doctor that gave my arms and hands back to me. While healing my injuries and being in excruciating pain and taking medication for this, death was a real possibility. On the morning of April 16th, 1998 chronic pain had taken over. I was forty-nine years old and now the pain became my death. I found myself out of my physical body and found my transition from life to death and felt more alive than ever before. My journey took me through darkness with angels escorting me to the center of heaven where I was introduced to God. God embraced me with his light and healed me and led me to love. God also took me on a journey to visit the heavenly realm. I met the greeting party that came forward. The events that followed were proof of life after my physical death. I am sharing my photographic recollections of my journey to heaven. There is Peace, Gods Pure Love, and the visible world that no one can see from earth. God sent me back with messages for the people of the world and He also sent me back with the message of Love. God also sent back his light in my soul so I could call upon him when I put the thought in my mind. God gave me the gift to travel to His light. My journey to heaven is very vivid. There is a Loving Light that waits for everyone. The process of dying is very joyful and peaceful. Near death experiences are very real. I am one of Gods chosen ones, able to go from life, to death, and back to life again. I am able to tell others about Gods world and all of the beautiful things in it (and how to change the world that everyone lives in here on earth). The few minutes that I spent in heaven with God, the Angels, the Greeting Party and the journey God took me on through His Paradise, have changed my behavior and attitude toward death.

The Paradox Of Choice written by Barry Schwartz and has been published by Harper Collins this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2009-10-13 with Psychology categories.

Whether we're buying a pair of jeans, ordering a cup of coffee, selecting a long-distance carrier, applying to college, choosing a doctor, or setting up a 401(k), everyday decisions—both big and small—have become increasingly complex due to the overwhelming abundance of choice with which we are presented. As Americans, we assume that more choice means better options and greater satisfaction. But beware of excessive choice: choice overload can make you question the decisions you make before you even make them, it can set you up for unrealistically high expectations, and it can make you blame yourself for any and all failures. In the long run, this can lead to decision-making paralysis, anxiety, and perpetual stress. And, in a culture that tells us that there is no excuse for falling short of perfection when your options are limitless, too much choice can lead to clinical depression. In The Paradox of Choice, Barry Schwartz explains at what point choice—the hallmark of individual freedom and self-determination that we so cherish—becomes detrimental to our psychological and emotional well-being. In accessible, engaging, and anecdotal prose, Schwartz shows how the dramatic explosion in choice—from the mundane to the profound challenges of balancing career, family, and individual needs—has paradoxically become a problem instead of a solution. Schwartz also shows how our obsession with choice encourages us to seek that which makes us feel worse. By synthesizing current research in the social sciences, Schwartz makes the counter intuitive case that eliminating choices can greatly reduce the stress, anxiety, and busyness of our lives. He offers eleven practical steps on how to limit choices to a manageable number, have the discipline to focus on those that are important and ignore the rest, and ultimately derive greater satisfaction from the choices you have to make.

Once upon a time, there was a little old lady who had a stroke and had to be rushed to the hospital for emergency surgery. When she woke up, she discovered that the stroke had left her face disfigured. She had twisted lips. She started to cry and her husband tried to comfort her. He bent over to kiss her and made a shocking discovery. It didn't work. He missed her lips. The same lips he had kissed a million times before. He bent over a second time determined to express his love. This time he manipulated and twisted his lips to accommodate hers. He made contact and she knew just how much he loved her. As a result of crime, drugs and violence, many of our children have twisted lips. We can't reach them with traditional middle class curriculums or conventional teaching techniques. We need a fresh, new, innovative approach. We must be prepared to twist our lips to accommodate theirs. Many of them have rejected the American Dream of getting ahead by getting a good education and working hard. They see that the American Dream didn't work for their kin and they have no reason to believe it will work for them. They also see a disproportionate number of their family members and friends going to prison. As a result, they question the fairness of the criminal justice system and their equality under the law. Many of them choose gangs, drugs and crime out of desperation before they realize the life altering consequences of these choices. Making Choices And Facing Consequences is designed to: 1) promote the development of personal self-management skills; 2) teach readers what constitutes unlawful and risky behavior and how to avoid dangerous and unsafe situations; and 3) promote responsiblecitizenship and behavior standards. Fifteen of the resource units in this book consist of real life stories about children and young adults. The stories revolve around gangs, drugs, violent crimes, property crimes and sexual assaults. Each story builds to a point of importance and then presents the character(s) with critical choices. Our message is delivered through these stories. The beauty of the program is the power of these stories, the way they are told, the way they engage the students, and the teaching opportunities they create.
