Some abilities needed for Federal jobs may be inherently more difficult to learn than others. Research on mental abilities distinguishes among those that can be developed through training, those that are unresponsive to training, and those that are moderately responsive. This dimension is known as "trainability." This report contrasts employee perceptions of the trainability of job-relevant abilities with research findings about the actual trainability of these abilities. The goal is to help agencies use training resources to enhance individual and organizational performance by highlighting abilities for which training may be less beneficial than other organizational improvement strategies. Charts and tables.

The authors believe that the effectiveness of future generations of scientists depends in part on their ability to use intelligently, diagnose, and modify their microcomputer-based and electronic instrumentation. Using a "top-down" approach, the authors present electronic concepts, principles, and technology that are impacting our daily lives. They start at the top, by providing a broad perspective of electronic instrumentation, and work down to functional modules, devices, and detailed operations. This top-down approach enables all of the pieces to fit together so that a working knowledge is developed as one proceeds through the chapters. Written specifically for chemists, physicists, engineers, biologists, medical researchers, students, and other technical personnel who can benefit from "making the right connections" to modern instrumentation, this book will empower you to gain better control and make better use of your microcomputers and laboratory instruments.

Heaven Is Opening for You… “I encourage you to read Joshua’s book, not only to learn about the glory but also to be changed by the glory.” —Bill Johnson “This book is boot camp for the next and greatest move of God’s Spirit in history.” —Sid Roth All Christians are intended to live, move, and operate in the supernatural realm. But many people aren’t sure how to enter into this realm—or how to go deeper in the Spirit. Joshua Mills explains that, much more than sensing what God is doing, we can participate in the supernatural on a daily basis through divine portals, or gates. Within a power portal, we may experience a sudden realization of God’s presence, an abundance of healing, spontaneous joy, signs and wonders, angelic activity, an increase in spiritual dreams and visions, or extravagant provision. Some portals can be activated in our own bodies through the mind, eyes and ears, mouth, heart, innermost being, hands, and feet. There are also direct heavenly portals and geographical portals, special places where we can experience the release of God’s power. Joshua’s writing is filled with amazing personal stories of the supernatural at work. Get ready to awaken your connection to the Spirit realm. Get ready to encounter Power Portals! “Joshua Mills…has taken deep spiritual revelation and translated it into language that any reader can understand and apply to daily life.” —Becky Thompson “Joshua Mills…gives you teachings you can trust and revelations that get you results.” —Tony Kemp

Tobi Forrester is a British-born Jamaican woman whose life is turned upside down when she joins a spiritual warfare class run by Nathaniel Afework, a Nigerian pastor who fled his home after converting to Christianity from the Obeah practiced by his father. An inquisitive Tobi delves into the origins of the New World Order and the Scriptures, and comes to realize that her father, Nahum Forrester, a high-ranking Freemason, and her brother, Hugh Forrester, are pieces of the jigsaw puzzle necessary to challenge the forces of evil. Now a Christian, her boldness takes her into the Oval Office of President Carl McKenna. She soon realizes there is a contract out on her life. To defend herself, Tobi uses her most effective weapon: the Word of God. Mitch D'Cambre, a final year student at Yale, stumbles on information linking his father Desmond D’Cambre, author of the State of the World report, to the puzzle. Mitch becomes obsessed with completing the puzzle. Interspersed with historical facts and spiritual intrigue, Tobi and Mitch attempt to put together the jigsaw puzzle that spans centuries. Born again Christians infiltrate all avenues of life. When called upon to pray and sabotage the forces of darkness, they do so most effectively, by controlling the media and exposing the truth. You shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free...

One of the greatest metaphors to relationships and all of their nuances is flying; the entire flight experience from start to finish. From the planning and packing stages to departing and eventually deplaning, air travel intimates and imitates life's greatest enigma; relationships. No better depiction of this conundrum than the Baggage Claim area, with its overcrowded carousels fraught with luggage and people of all colors, shapes, and sizes. It is here where the theme of this book resonates with efficacy; carefully and artfully interweaving the main passenger's plight within his flight. It is this nebulous journey that takes center stage within this book. Baggage Claim becomes more than a designated area within an airport. It becomes an emotional and psychological malaise that disrupts healthy and wholesome relationships, and threatens to leave the most important passenger stranded at the "arrival" terminal of life; a new and better YOU!
