The thought of male on male rape for many is a reality they would rather you not know about. Their silence and secrecy is heavily guarded while wrapped and hidden in plain sight through addictions, troubled relationships, sexual confusion even sexual assault. What many never face is that being raped by another man was never their fault! What would society say to a man who's suffered rape at the hands of another man? For starters men are seen as protectors and as one father I know told his son, "Men don't get raped." But they do, anyone can become a victim at anytime in life and its this confusion men carry deep inside along with the sexual trauma of being taken by another man that is a discussion that's long over due. Besides the pain they feel from the assault they also feel ashamed, because they did nothing to stop it other then freeze up. The truth is men who are raped are not expecting such a horrific thing to happen to them no different then it happening to women or children but society expects a male to be able to stop it and when they don't they become haunted by their own sexuality. The only way to stop the continuation of male on male rape is to break the silence that's trapped its victims for too long. Once this is done I assure you that the healing process is not far away.
