A sailor made a vow and then landed in a river with a boat. What was the pledge, and what was the problem in fulfilling that pledge? Bheeshma Pitamaha and a firefly asked some questions to Shree Krishna and a beetle respectively. What were these questions and did the firefly and Arjuna get answers to those questions? Why is a heron saving the fish? What is the truth of the enmity between man and snake? Who wants to decorate the face of the night and why? Has the Yugdharm (Ideal of an era) been forgotten in the setting of the ideal in the Draupadi incident of the Mahabharata? In the middle of the search for answers to these questions, the poetry collection, Man Patang, is a confluence of self-inspection, self-discovery, contradictions and conflicts of mind, sarcasm, satire and simple poems. Come and join us in holding threads of some poems, and dive in the sky with these kites that are there in the book, Man Patang.

‘I HATE THE RAIN...I HATE IT, HATE IT, HATE IT. BUT THE RAIN CAN’T STOP ME. NO ONE CAN...I’LL GO OUT AND PLAY TONIGHT...I WILL KILL ONLY FOUR. NO MORE, NO LESS. JUST FOUR.’ In the midst of one of the worst monsoons in Mumbai, a man is found brutally murdered, his body posed like a kite on the tallest cell tower in the city. As one corpse after another turns up in the unlikeliest of places, each gruesomely killed and carefully arranged in a grotesque manner, the Mumbai Police realize they have more on their hands than they can deal with. Enter Chandrakant Rathod, a maverick investigator the police turn to in times of need, who plays by his own rules and lives for the thrill of the chase. Pitting his sharp instincts against the machinations of the sadistic, ruthless killer, the detective succeeds in nabbing the psychopath and putting him behind bars. Then, three months later, the killings begin again. A deadly game is afoot – one that will challenge Rathod to the utmost, for it is a game that he cannot hope to win...

The Anger of Saintly Men is the story of three brothers, Sonu, Anu and Vicky, growing up in the 90s. A new decade has started. Maine Pyar Kiya has just been released. Young boys are having wet dreams after imagining what Salman Khan saw when Bhagyashree undraped herself for him on that windy night. The three brothers have just moved to their new, first and last home, which they name, Chuhedani. The Anger of Saintly Men explores how little boys are made men in Indian households. A story of sexual awakening, heartbreak and growing up under the shadow of India’s first wave of liberalisation. Told with compassion, the book delves deep into issues of masculinity, caste, class, homophobia and shame. The Anger of Saintly Men questions systems which have crushed men’s expectations, desires & hopes for centuries. One of the first novels that compels us to think on how we raise men and patriarchy’s deep grip on men’s life.

Modi Comman Man S Pm written by Kishor Makwana and has been published by Prabhat Prakashan this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2021-01-01 with Political Science categories.

This book is a worth-reading, prolific and insightful life-sketch of the torch-bearer of Indians. It is about common man’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi who has become a ray of hope for 125 crore Indians—from a humble farmer to an ambitious industrialist—having taken the route to good governance after being sworn as India's Prime Minister in May 2014. The game-changer of Indian politics, Modi had taken the mesmeric hold over Gujarat masses with three consecutive victories in the state assembly elections and was a senior campaign adviser drawing unprecedented crowds for Lok Sabha 2014 elections. After getting elected PM, Modi is often echoed in 24x7 Breaking News on media channels and enjoys good rapport with the top world leaders whom he visited during his six months of Prime Minister-ship. The insightful leader led India at the India-ASEAN Summit, G-20 Summit and had bilateral meetings with the leadership of countries like US, Japan, China and other neighbouring countries of India. He has launched new avenues of cooperation with the countries with which India has deep historical and cultural ties over centuries. His initiatives like 'Make in India' and 'Swachchha Bharat Abhiyan' have been widely lauded. Modi has called for innovative effort to make renewable energy, especially solar energy, competitive with conventional energy and pitched for global cooperation on repatriation of black money.

The Apa Tanis And Their Neighbours written by Christoph von Fûrer-Haimendorf and has been published by Routledge this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2013-09-13 with Social Science categories.

Inhabiting a secluded valley in the Eastern Himalayas, the Apa Tanis remained virtually unknown to the outside world until 1944-45 when the author spent several months in their villages, studying their internal social structure as well as their political and economic relations with neighbouring tribes. The economy of the Apa Tanis, who knew neither the principle of animal traction nor the wheel, resembled that of certain Neolithic societies, but the methods used in the exploitation of their natural environment were far from primitive, and a developed agriculture enabled a population of some 20,000 to live in one valley of 20 square miles.
