Therefore, we have devoted considerable space to taxonomy and classification of sagebrush ecosystems. These sections can be useful working materials for resource managers. Partly because of the ecological variation within the broad sagebrush-grass rangeland area, and partly because past research has been concentrated more in some parts of the West than in others, it is not possible to apply all research results to all sagebrush-grass lands. Good judgment and understanding the several sagebrush ecosystems are necessary in extending the results of any research findings.
