Esther Vilar’s classic polemic about the relationship between the sexes caused a sensation on its first publication. In her introduction to this revised edition, Vilar maintains that very little has changed. A man is a human being who works, while a woman chooses to let a man provide for her and her children in return for carefully dispensed praise and sex. Vilar’s perceptive, thought-provoking and often very funny look at the battle between the sexes has earned her severe criticism and even death threats. But Vilar’s intention is not misogynous: she maintains that only if women and men look at their place in society with honesty, will there be any hope for change.

What bearing do our histories--our influences, what we have done and what has happened to us--have on our responsibility for the actions we take or consider in the present? This is the question at the center of Alfred R. Mele's examination of moral responsibility, including the moral responsibility of manipulated agents. Departing from other scholars writing on free will and moral responsibility, Mele reflects on a wide range of thought experiments that feature agents who have been manipulated or designed in ways which directly affect their actions. Although such thought experiments are often used by philosophers to illustrate significant features of moral responsibility, little attention has been paid to ways in which various details make a difference. In Manipulated Agents, Mele addresses this gap, arguing that such vignettes have the potential to unlock an understanding of moral responsibility that takes an agent's history into account when assigning moral praise or blame. In his analysis of these thought experiments, Mele presents a highly accessible, compelling defense of a "history-sensitive" conception of moral responsibility that has implications for free will.

In all groups -- from couples to nation-states -- people influence one another. Much of this influence is benign, for example giving advice to friends or serving as role models for our children and students. Some forms of influence, however, are clearly morally suspect, such as threats of violence and blackmail. A great deal of attention has been paid to one form of morally suspect influence, namely coercion. Less attention has been paid to what might be a more pervasive form of influence: manipulation. The essays in this volume address this relative imbalance by focusing on manipulation, examining its nature, moral status, and its significance in personal and social life. They address a number of central questions: What counts as manipulation? How is it distinguished from coercion and ordinary rational persuasion? Is it always wrong, or can it sometimes be justified, and if so, when? Is manipulative influence more benign than coercion? Can one manipulate unintentionally? How does being manipulated to act bear on one's moral responsibly for so acting? Given various answers to these questions, what should we think of practices such as advertising and seduction?

Do you want to know everything about mind control? Your Customers Will Never Stop To Use This Amazing Guide! One can, however, agree with the fact that mind control easily falls under the umbrella of influence and persuasion which deals with the way people change other people's beliefs and behaviors. While some would like to argue that all falls under manipulation, it is important to take note of the missing distinctions in this argument. It is much better to think of influence as a continuum because at one end there are the ethical and respectful influences that make room for giving respect to an individual in relation to his or her rights while at the other end there are destructive influences that rip off a person's independence, identity and his ability to come up with critical and logical thoughts. When it comes to the darker side of the continuum, we talk about cults and sects. These are the groups of people who make use of deception and mind control skills in taking advantage of its member's strengths and weaknesses in order to satisfy the selfish desires of the cult leaders. There are one-on-one cults which are intimate relationships where a person manipulates and exploits others using their own influence. These are cultic relationships which are a smaller version of the larger groups that may prove to be destructive as a result of the fact that all the time and attention available are directed towards a person. These relationships may come in the form of husband/wife, pastor/worshipper, teacher/student or therapist/client. When a person becomes a victim of mind control, he is unaware of the influence process as well as the changes that are taking place within him. In discussing this topic, however, it is of uttermost importance to take note of some certain distinctions, as there are some points that need to be made clear. First, mind control is a subtle but very insidious process which means that the individual is largely unaware of the grave effects of the influence that is being imposed on them. This is the reason why they typically make little changes over time with the belief that they are making decisions for themselves, when all the decisions that they are making are made for them. It is insidious because the purpose of mind control in some cases is to entrap and cause harm to the victim. Another distinct point to note is that it is a process that doesn't just happen in an instant. It usually takes a lot of time, which depends on factors like the skills of the manipulator, the methods that the manipulator has decided to make use of, the length of time that the victim was exposed to the techniques and other personal factors. This book covers: Manipulating the Mind Through NLP The Power of Persuasion Defining Desired Outcomes Mind Control Techniques Mind Control with NLP for Love and Relationships The Most Powerful Mind-Power Tool Assuming Success And much more!!! It's all about taking the time it takes to learn and practice in the real world once you've decided to undertake the art of dark psychology. It's impossible to become comfortable with these techniques without observation and practice. You will find that the more confident you are with your strategies, the more comfortable and more natural they will happen, leaving your targets entirely in the dark about what's going on under the surface.
