Durante el curso académico 2012-2013 la Facultad de Traducción y Documentación de la Universidad de Salamanca ha cumplido sus primeros 20 años de vida. En el primer bloque se abordan las fuentes de información para usos especializados, área que constituye uno de los lazos indiscutibles entre nuestras disciplinas; su uso es una actividad cotidiana para los unos y su análisis una de las razones de ser para los otros. Ese interés compartido es germen de una colaboración constante, donde la selección y el empleo de la información genera caminos de ida y vuelta ineludibles. El segundo bloque se centra en un ámbito caracterizado por la vertiente social de estos campos de conocimiento, aludiendo tanto a la ética de sus profesionales como a su visibilidad y proyección. El estudio de su relevancia en nuestras sociedades, su reconocimiento y su misión constituyen un elemento básico para su desarrollo y adaptación al entorno que los demanda.
