Desde hace unos pocos años venimos asistiendo a un crecimiento de la telepsicología, es decir, la prestación de servicios de psicología a través de las Tecnologías de la Información y la Comunicación (TICs). Está ampliamente extendida la idea entre la comunidad científica, como entre la población en general, sobre el hecho de que la tecnología digital está influyendo irreversiblemente en casi todos los ámbitos sociales. A veces, esta influencia es disruptiva, llamativa y pomposa. Otras veces, en cambio, se filtra suave, subrepticia y silenciosamente entre las actividades más cotidianas.
