This book is a collection of invited contributions presented at the 8th edition of the International Workshop on Theory, Phenomenology and Experiments in Flavour Physics, held on the Island of Capri, Italy, on 11–13 June 2022. It is a joint workshop between experimentalists and theoreticians aiming at debating recent results and hot topics in flavour physics, in an interdisciplinary effort. Flavour, electroweak physics and neutrino physics are all foremost in the assessment of results within the standard model and search for physics beyond. Anomalies in flavour physics are hints on new physics, while with neutrino masses and oscillations the new physics has already started. Contributions deal mainly with the flavour anomalies, the flavour problem from leptons to quarks and back, including continuous versus discrete symmetries, and the connections between the Higgs sector and neutrinos, embracing see-saw models and Higgs potential analyses. Focus is on neutrinos, at high and low scales, including LHC searches and CLVF, leptogenesis, connections with dark sectors and NP mediators, non-standard neutrino interactions and the problem of the nature of massive neutrinos.

We present a measurement of the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa CP-violating phase {gamma} with a Dalitz plot analysis of neutral D-meson decays to the K{sub S}{sup 0} {pi}{sup -}{pi}{sup +} final state from B{sup {-+}} {yields} D{sup (*)}K{sup {-+}} and B{sup {-+}} {yields} DK*{sup {-+}} decays, using a sample of 227 million B{bar B} pairs collected by the BABAR detector. We measure {gamma} = (67 {+-} 28 {+-} 13 {+-} 11){sup o}, where the first error is statistical, the second is the experimental systematic uncertainty and the third reflects the Dalitz model uncertainty. This result suffers from a two-fold ambiguity. The contribution to the Dalitz model uncertainty due to the description of the {pi}{pi} S-wave in D{sup 0} {yields} K{sub S}{sup 0}{pi}{sup -}{pi}{sup +}, evaluated using a K-matrix formalism, is found to be 3{sup o}.

The CP violation is explained in the Standard Model with three quark generations with an irreducible phase in the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa quark mixing matrix. The unitarity of this matrix can be represented in a complex plane as a triangle (called Unitarity Triangle). The measurement of the parameters of the triangle is a powerful test of the Standard Model description of the CP violation. This thesis tries to measure the weak phase 2beta+ gamma through the B0 -> D+ K0 Pi- decays. Respect to the two body decays B0 -> D(*)+ Pi- and B0 -> D+ Rho- presently used for the measurement of the same weak phase, the B0 -> D+ K0 Pi- decays should show up a larger CP asymmetry and does not rely on any theoretical assumption. After a review of all the methods for the measurement of 2beta+gamma, the thesis presents the results of a feasibility study of the measurement with the B0 -> D+ K0 Pi- decays . In a second part, the analysis performed on 316 fb-1 of data collected by the BaBar detector at the B-factory PEP2 is presented, from the selection of the events to the time-dependent Dalitz fit technique used in order to extract the weak phase 2beta+gamma as well as the amplitudes and phases of the intermediate resonances contributing to the decay. The result of the analysis gives the following estimation: 2beta+gamma = 89 +/- 53(stat) +23-14(syst) degrees with an irreducible ambiguity of 180 degrees.

In this paper the authors report on a measurement of direct CP violation in B[sup -] --> D(*)[sup 0]K[sup -] based on the analysis of the Dalitz distribution of the three-body decay D[sup 0] --> K[sub S][pi][sup -][pi][sup +]. The advantage of this method is that it involves the entire resonant substructure of the three-body decay, with Cabibbo-allowed and double Cabibbo-suppressed amplitudes interfering directly. We present for the first time a measurement of the weak phase 2[beta] + [gamma] obtained from a time-dependent Dalitz plot analysis of B° → D{sup {-+}}K°[pi]{sup ±} decays. Using a sample of approximately 347 x 106 B{bar B} pairs collected by the BABAR detector at the PEP-II asymmetric-energy storage rings, we obtain 2[beta] + [gamma] = (83 ± 53 ± 20)° and (263 ± 53 {+-} 20){sup o} assuming the ratio r of the b → u and b → c decay amplitudes to be 0.3. The magnitudes and phases for the resonances associated with the b → c transitions are also extracted from the fit.

Combining this result with the available information on r{sub S}, they obtain? = (162 ± 56){sup o} or (342 ± 56){sup o} and r{sub S}
