The authors report a study of B{sup ±} 2!D*K{sup ±} decays with D* decaying to D[pi]° or D[gamma], using 383 x 106 B{bar B} pairs collected at the [Upsilon](4S) resonance with the BABAR detector at the SLAC PEP-II B-Factory. The D meson decays under study include a non-CP mode (K{sup ±}[pi]{sup {-+}}), CP-even modes (K{sup ±}K{sup {-+}}, [pi]{sup ±}[pi]{sup {-+}}) and CP-odd modes (K{sub S}°[pi]°, K{sub S}°[phi], K{sub S}°[omega]). They measure ratios (R*{sub CP±}) of branching fractions of decays to CP eigenmode states and to flavor-specific states as well as CP asymmetries A*{sub CP±} = -0.11 ± 0.09 ± 0.01, R*{sub CP+} = 1.31 ± 0.13 ± 0.04, and A*{sub CP-} = 0.06 ± 0.10 {+-} 0.02, R*{sub CP-} = 1.10 {+-} 0.12 {+-} 0.04, where the first error is statistical and the second error is systematic. Translating the results into an alternative parameterization, widely used for related measurements, they obtain x*+ = 0.11 {+-} 0.06 {+-} 0.02 and x* = 0.00 {+-} 0.06 {+-} 0.01. No significant CP-violating charge asymmetry is found in either the flavor-specific mode D 2!K{sup {+-}}[pi]{sup {-+}} or in B{sup {+-}} 2!D*[pi]{sup {+-}} decays.

The authors present a measurement of R{sub B}, the ratio of the branching fraction for the rare decay D° → K?− to that for the Cabibbo-favored decay D° → K−?+. Charge conjugate decays are implicitly included. A signal of 2005 ± 104 events for the decay D° → K+?− is obtained using the CDF II detector at the Fermilab Tevatron collider. The data set corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 0.35 fb−1 produced in {bar p}p collisions at √s = 1.96 TeV. Assuming no mixing, they find R{sub B} = [4.05 ± 0.21(stat) ± 0.11(syst)] x 10−3. This measurement is consistent with the world average, and comparable in accuracy with the best measurements from other experiments.

Using 226 million?(4S) → B{bar B} events collected with the BABAR detector at the PEp-II ee− storage ring at the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center, they measure the branching fraction for B° → {bar D}°K+?−, excluding B° → D*−K+, to be?(B° → {bar D}°K+?−) = 88 ± 15 ± 9 x 10−6. They observe B° → {bar D}°K*(892)° and B° → D*2(2460)−K+ contributions. The ratio of branching fractions?(B° → D*− K+)/?(B° → D*−?+) = (7.76 ± 0.34 ± 0.29)% is measured separately. The branching fraction for the suppressed mode B° → D°K+?− is?(B° → D°K+?−)

We study the decays B[sup +] [yields] [eta][sub c]K[sup +] and B[sup 0] [yields] [eta][sub c]K[sup 0], where the [eta][sub c] is reconstructed in the K[sub S][sup 0] K[sup [+-]] [pi][sup [-+]] and K[sup +]K[sup -] [pi][sup 0] decay modes. Results are based on a sample of 86 million B[bar B] pairs collected with the BABAR detector at the SLAC e[sup +]e[sup -] B Factory. We measure the branching fractions [Beta](B[sup +] [yields] [eta][sub c]K[sup +]) = (1.34 [+-] 0.09 [+-] 0.13 [+-] 0.41) x 10[sup -3] and [Beta](B[sup 0] [yields] [eta][sub c]K[sup 0]) = (1.18 [+-] 0.16 [+-] 0.13 [+-] 0.37) x 10[sup -3], where the first error is statistical, the second is systematic, and the third reflects the [eta][sub c] branching fraction uncertainty. In addition, we search for B [yields] [eta][sub c]K events with [eta][sub c] [yields] 2(K[sup +]K[sup -]) and [eta][sub c] [yields] [phi][phi] and determine the [eta][sub c] decay branching fraction ratios [Beta]([eta][sub c] [yields] 2(K[sup +]K[sup -]))/[Beta]([eta][sub c] [yields] K[bar K][pi]) = (2.3 [+-] 0.7 [+-] 0.6) x 10[sup -2] and [Beta]([eta][sub c] [yields] [phi][phi])/[Beta]([eta][sub c] [yields] K[bar K][pi]) = (5.5 [+-] 1.4 [+-] 0.5) x 10[sup -2].

The branching fractions for b[sub 1][pi] and[omega]f[sub 2](1270) update previous BES results, while those for other decay modes are first measurements. The ratios of[psi](2S) and J/[psi] branching fractions are smaller than what is expected from the 12% rule by a factor of six for[omega]f[sub 2](1270), by a factor of two for[omega][pi][sup+][pi][sup -], [omega]p[bar p], and[phi]K[sup+] K[sup -], while for other studied channels the ratios are consistent with expectation within errors.
