Ada iklan salah satu produk minuman teh botol yang sangat terkenal dari PT. Sinar Sosro yang digagas Soetjipto Sosrodjojo yang meninggal dunia pada usia 77 tahun pada tahun 2010 lalu. Kalimat tersebut berbunyi "Apa pun makanannya, minumnya Teh Botol Sosro". Menarik dan juga mudah diingat. Begitu juga dalam pengembangan pendidikan, seharusnya motto itu berbunyi "apa pun materinya, literasi medianya”. Jadi, titik tonjoknya literasi sudah menjadi media, tidak lagi “literasi media” yang cakupannya pada pengenalan dan juga penyadaran menyikapi media massa dan media sosial, internet, dunia maya, dan lainnya dengan benar, baik dan bijaksana. Sebab, variabelnya akan berbeda jika itu “literasi media”, sedangkan dalam buku ini, yang dikaji adalah “media literasi” dalam berbagai bentuk. Literasi tidak boleh sekadar membaca, sebab ia merupakan kemampuan kompleks. Bahkan, selain empat keterampilan berbahasa (menyimak atau mendengarkan, membaca, menulis, dan berbicara), literasi juga dimaknai sebagai semua usaha untuk mendapatkan ilmu pengetahuan dan informasi. Aspek melek komputer dan menangkal berita bohong dan palsu juga masuk kategori literasi. Dalam buku ini, literasi tidak lagi disajikan “kaku” seperti di buku-buku, dikat, dan jurnal-jurnal ilmiah selama ini. Sebab, literasi sudah melekat menjadi “media” itu sendiri dalam pembelajaran terutama di sekolah. Media literasi adalah bagian dari pengembangan “literasi” dan “media”. Banyak media yang selama ini sebenarnya adalah media literasi, namun guru dan juga dosen masih jarang yang memaknainya. Buku ini berisi empat bab. Mulai dari konsep literasi dalam pendidikan, gerakan literasi di sekolah, media literasi sekolah dan implementasi media literasi sekolah. Sebelum menggapai puncak kejayaan literasi pada 2045, Indonesia bisa bergerak cepat melalui literasi untuk penguatan Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM) dan kualitas pendidikan dari jenjang SD, SMP, SMA, sampai program doktor (S3). Tanpa literasi, semua akan terasa bias bahkan tidak mampu mengejar ketertinggalan dari negara lain. This book is the proceeding of the International Conference Jakarta International on Multidisciplinary Studies towards Creative Industries (JICOMS 2022) that was successfully held on 16 November 2022 using an hybrid platform. This is an open access book. Education is an effort to educate people, through education the quality of human life becomes better, and it is captured and realized by all Muhammadiyah universities in Indonesia, especially from the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education Science. The problem that occurs is the need for a lot of innovation related to the implementation of learning in the classroom so that the learning process becomes more enjoyable. In addition, the conference was also attended by 115 participants and presenters with 107 papers listed. The 7th Profunedu this time collaborated with the Atlantis Press in the paper publication process. From 107 papers listed, 30 papers were selected to be published by Atlantis Press as publishing partners in this conference.

This is an open access book. The COVID-19 pandemic in the last two years has influenced how educational system works. Online learning became the primal policy taken by all institutions in the world to lower the risk of the virus spread. Despite the drawbacks of the online learning, teachers and students were accustomed with the distant learning through web meetings, Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other online learning platforms. Kami sebagai tim yang diberi amanah untuk menulis buku Modul dan Panduan Teknis Gerakan Literasi Ma’arif (GLM) LP Ma’arif PWNU Jawa Tengah ini berusaha maksimal dan ideal mendesain secara teoretis dan praktis untuk menyusun buku ini. Kami sadar, berdasarkan anjuran World Economic Forum (2015), kunci kemajuan suatu bangsa dipatronkan pada tiga elemen dasar; kompetensi, karakter, dan literasi. Maka, mau tidak mau, LP Ma’arif harus menangkap sinyal ini sebagai pelejit atau akselerasi kemajuan. Secara rinci, WEF (2015) ini membagi penguasaan enam literasi dasar yang harus dikuasi peserta didik, guru, dan umumnya masyarakat. Enam literasi dasar itu meliputi literasi baca tulis, literasi numerasi, literasi sains, literasi digital, literasi finansial, dan literasi budaya dan kewargaan. Paradigma literasi yang dimasukkan ke dalam GLM ke depan juga tidak sekadar pada tataran literasi lama (membaca, menulis, berhitung) atau calistung. Namun, GLM menyasar pada keterampilan literasi baru (literasi data, literasi teknologi, dan literasi manusia/SDM). Hal itu urgen dikuatkan karena berdasarkan hasil riset, keterampilan atau kualitas literasi Indonesia Berdasarkan uji literasi membaca dalam PISA tahun 2009 menunjukkan Indonesia berada pada peringkat 57 dengan skor rata-rata 402 dari 500; PISA tahun 2012 Indonesia berada pada peringkat 64 dengan skor rata-rata 396 dari 500; dan PISA tahun 2015 Indonesia berada pada peringkat 69 dari 76 negara dengan skor rata-rata 397, dari skor rata- rata internasional 500. Survei The International for The Evaluation of Educational Achievement dalam Progress in International Reading Literacy Study (PIRLS) tahun 2011, Indonesia berada pada peringkat ke-45 dari 48 negara peserta dengan skor 428, sedangkan skor rata-rata adalah 500. Data dari UNESCO pada 2012 menempatkan indeks membaca bangsa Indonesia hanya 0,001. Dari 1.000 orang hanya satu orang yang membaca serius. Riset Perpusnas RI (2016), menyebut dari 1.000 orang, ada 25 yang membaca serius. Data USAID Prioritas juga menunjukkan minimnya budaya baca karena sampai 2017 RI masih di peringkat 60 dari 61 negara yang minat bacanya rendah. Dari berbagai riset di atas, mau dilawan atau dibantah pun tetap kualitas literasi kita masih rendah. Terbukti, intensitas membaca serius (Alquran, buku, koran, majalah) lebih minim daripada bermedia sosial atau berselancar di dunia maya. Berdasarkan hasil studi Polling Indonesia yang bekerja sama dengan Asosiasi Penyelenggara Jasa Internet Indonesia (APJII), jumlah pengguna internet di Indonesia tumbuh 10,12 persen. Sampai April 2019, dari total populasi sebanyak 264 juta jiwa penduduk Indonesia, ada sebanyak 171,17 juta jiwa atau sekitar 64,8 persen yang sudah terhubung ke internet. Memang luar biasa pengguna internet di negara ini dan hal itu harus diimbangi dengan kemampuan literasi digital yang memadai. Secara hakikat, literasi tidak sekadar membaca, menulis, dan berhitung saja. Literasi yang dikembangkan dalam GLM di sini merupakan semua usaha atau kegiatan dalam mendapat atau mengakses ilmu pengetahuan melalui kegiatan utama membaca, menulis, menyimak, berbicara, dan melek komputer. Hal itu sesuai tantangan Revolusi Industri 4.0 dan Society 5.0 atau abad ke-21 yang mengharuskan pengembangan enam literasi, mulai dari literasi baca tulis, literasi numerasi, literasi sains, literasi digital, literasi finansial, dan literasi budaya dan kewargaan. Untuk itu diperlukan gerakan terstruktur, terencana, sistematis dan mencakup semua elemen pendidikan, mulai dari guru, tenaga kependidikan, pelajar dan orang tua siswa itu sendiri serta masyarakat. Tim GLM LP Ma’arif PWNU Jawa Tengah mulai tahun ini berikhtiar menyebarluaskan GLM sebagai usaha untuk memajukan kualitas literasi madrasah dan sekolah LP Ma’arif. Selain melalui perlombaan, pelatihan, LP Ma’arif PWNU Jawa Tengah dengan beberapa lembaga telah melakukan Pelatihan Calon Fasilitator Daerah atau TOT (Training of Trainer) yang ditujukan sebagai usaha awal mengimplementasikan GLM. Untuk mendukung hal tersebut, dibutuhkan modul dan panduan teknis agar GLM tidak hanya teori, melainkan menjadi konsep utuh sampai pada pelaksanaan teknis di dalam pembelajaran maupun di luar pembelajaran. Semoga buku modul dan panduan teknis GLM ini bermanfaat bagi akselerasi kemajuan dan kualitas literasi madrasah dan sekolah Ma’arif di Jawa Tengah dan umumnya di Nusantara.
