An entertaining, informative, and thought-provoking insight into the connections between the sciences of physics and meditation based on the author's own direct experience. The first chapter presents the scientific, rational approach to meditation and analyzes this technique in terms of the modern scientific method. Meditation is treated as a science that starts with the observation of the functioning of the human mind and reaches out toward the vision of Oneness where all of creation is seen as one unique existence. The last four chapters deal with the parallels between modern physics and meditation. The last section in each chapter demonstrates how the discoveries of physics both corroborate those that come from meditation and serve as a basis upon which the findings of meditation can expand. The author also shows the reader how the practice of meditation can be incorporated into his or her own life to bring the benefits of good health, happiness, clear thinking, peace of mind, self-sufficiency, and fearlessness.

The Magic of Quantum Living is a revolutionizing new theory, bringing together quantum physics, spirituality, and religion in order to explain God and the interconnectedness of the entire universe. This new quantum theory is an inspirational message explaining the entanglement and interrelation of all things and people as part of one big collective consciousness: the oneness principle. This theory highlights the way our thoughts, words, and actions, which are based on our beliefs, create our reality within a greater collective reality. Practical examples and explanations assist the reader in examining their own beliefs and behaviours, with the aim to foster and cultivate a greater respect and love for all of life, humanity, and our planet.

Setting aside the pervasive material bias of science and lifting the obscuring fog of religious sectarianism reveals a surprisingly clear unity of science and religion. The explanations of transcendent phenomena given by saints, sages, and near-death experiencers—miracles, immortality, heaven, God, and transcendent awareness—are fully congruent with scientific discoveries in the fields of relativity, quantum physics, medicine, M-theory, neuroscience, and quantum biology. The Physics of God describes the intersections of science and religion with colorful, easy-to-understand metaphors, making abstruse subjects within both science and religion easily accessible to the layman—no math, no dogma. This intriguing book: Pulls back the curtain on the light-show illusion we call matter. Connects string theory’s hidden brane worlds to religion’s transcendent heavens. Reveals the scientific secret of life and immortality: quantum biology’s startling discovery that the human body is continuously entangled. Demonstrates the miracle-making power of our minds to effect instantaneous physiological changes. Explains how the intelligent observer effect confirms our high spiritual potential. Compelling and concise, The Physics of God will make you believe in the unity of science and religion and eager to experience the personal transcendence that is the promise of both.

“An impressive and thought-provoking work . . . regarding the metaphysical mysteries of life, physical reality, and human consciousness. Highly recommended!” —Spirituality Today Science and religion are often thought to be in conflict. But the contemporary fields of relativity, quantum physics, neuroscience, and more are in agreement with the transcendent phenomena described by saints, sages, and near-death experiencers. Today’s science actually provides profound insight into miracles, immortality, heaven, God, and transcendent awareness. The Physics of God describes the intersections of science and religion with colorful, easy-to-understand metaphors, making abstruse subjects within both science and religion easily accessible to the layman. This intriguing book: Pulls back the curtain on the light-show illusion we call matter. Connects string theory to religion’s transcendent heavens. Mind Into Matter written by Fred Alan Wolf and has been published by Red Wheel/Weiser this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2001-01-01 with Body, Mind & Spirit categories.

A physicist examines ideas from medieval alchemy and contemporary science to explore the connection between mind and matter. Alchemists of old attempted to make sense of the universe—to discover the connection between mind and matter. Some of today’s scientists, in particular quantum physicists, are doing the same. In this contribution to the study of consciousness, physicist Fred Alan Wolf reveals what he calls the “new alchemy” —a melding of the ideas of the old alchemists and the new scientists to reach a fuller understanding of mind and matter. An elegant book with short, stand-alone chapters, each framed by an alchemical symbol and its definition, Mind into Matter is thought provoking for scientists and lay people alike. Praise for Mind into Matter “I consider Fred Alan Wolf one of the most important pioneers in the field of consciousness. This book could change the way you perceive the world.” —Deepak Chopra, MD, FACP, author of How to Know God “Once again, physicist Fred Alan Wolf takes us on a magical mystery tour into the adventure land of science and spirit. . . . Both enthralling and energizing.” —Michael Toms, cofounder, host, producer of New Dimensions Radio “How refreshing to have a scientist put the emphasis on the individual where it belongs! Wolf has written a glorious entertainment for the mind that matters.” —Kenneth Ring, PhD, author of Lessons from the Light “[A]llows readers to look at their own inner mechanism and better understand the consciousness which gives them life and makes them aware of the outer world of forms and phenomena in which they live.” —Glen P. Kezwer, Ph.D., physicist, author of Meditation, Oneness and Physics

From Science To God written by Peter Russell and has been published by New World Library this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2010-02-08 with Religion categories.

From Science to God offers a crash course in the nature of reality. It is the story of Peter Russell's lifelong exploration into the nature of consciousness — how he went from being a strict atheist, studying mathematics and physics at Cambridge University, to realizing a profound personal synthesis of the mystical and scientific. Using his own tale of curiosity and exploration as the book’s backbone, Russell blends physics, psychology, and philosophy to reach a new worldview in which consciousness is a fundamental quality of creation. He shows how all the ingredients for this worldview are in place; nothing new needs to be discovered. We have only to put the pieces together and explore the new picture of reality that emerges. From Science to God is as much a personal story of an open-minded skeptic as it is a tour de force of scientific and religious paradigm shifts. Russell takes us from Galileo’s den to the lecture halls of Cambridge where he studied with Stephen Hawking. “If you had asked me then if there was a God,” says the best-selling author of his scientific beginnings, “I would have pointed to mathematics.” But no matter what empirical truths science offered Russell, one thorny question remained: How can something as immaterial as consciousness, ever arise from something as unconscious as matter?

Hundreds of books since the Tao of Physics have discussed a connection between meditation and modern physics; this one clarifies what it is in both spiritual and scientific terms. Avery's brilliant model of consciousness makes difficult and subtle ideas understandable, surprising you with the implications. He shows that light is visual consciousness: the experience of cells in the retina. Light is not in space; space is in light. Knowing this, relativity and the quanta suddenly make sense.

Hidden Dimensions written by B. Alan Wallace and has been published by Columbia University Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2010-02-22 with Science categories.

B. Alan Wallace introduces a natural theory of human consciousness that has its roots in contemporary physics and Buddhism. Wallace's "special theory of ontological relativity" suggests that mental phenomena are conditioned by the brain, but do not emerge from it. Rather, the entire natural world of mind and matter, subjects and objects, arises from a unitary dimension of reality. Wallace employs the Buddhist meditative practice of samatha to test his hypothesis, creating a kind of telescope to examine the space of the mind. He then proposes a more general theory in which the participatory nature of reality is envisioned as a self-excited circuit. In comparing these ideas to the Buddhist theory known as the Middle Way philosophy, Wallace explores further aspects of his "general theory of ontological relativity," which can be investigated through vipasyana, or insight, meditation. He then focuses on the theme of symmetry in quantum cosmology and the "problem of frozen time," relating these issues to the theory and practices of the Great Perfection school of Tibetan Buddhism. He concludes with a discussion of complementarity as it relates to science and religion.
