Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2022 im Fachbereich Psychologie - Beratung und Therapie, Note: 95,00, FernUniversität Hagen (Mediation), Veranstaltung: Modulabschlussarbeit, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Diese Arbeit behandelt die typischen Herausforderungen der Mediation: durch den Konflikt verursachte seelische Effekte ("Deformationen"), Umgang mit Machtungleichgewicht sowie Mediation bei Paarkonflikten mit Gewalthintergrund. Konflikte bedeuten grundsätzlich eine Stresssituation für die Kontrahenten, sie stellen eine besonders unverlässliche Umgebung für diese dar. Um sich in einer solchen Situation abzusichern und zu stabilisieren, reduzieren Konfliktbeteiligte unbewusst sowohl ihr eigenes Selbst als auch das der Gegenpartei in vielfacher Weise. Dabei legen sie eine Rigidität im Sinne von einer Kohärenz an den Tag, d.h. die Kontrahenten versteifen sich auf jeweils eine einzige Version hinsichtlich ihrer Handlungen, Absichten, Werte. Solche durch Reduktion und Rigidität bestimmte Deformationen der seelischen Funktionen können als überwältigend empfunden werden und sehr destruktiv sein. Ballreich und Glasl unterscheiden Deformationen auf folgenden vier Ebenen: Wahrnehmen, Denken, Fühlen und Wollen. Die Konfliktparteien können Menschen und Ereignisse in ihrer Umwelt nicht mehr so klar wahrnehmen, wie vor der Konfliktsituation. Vielmehr wird ihre Wahrnehmung selektiv und gleicht einer Art Tunnelblick, wobei eine Reduktion der Aufmerksamkeit auf das „Wesentliche“ unter Ausblendung der anderen, als zu komplex empfundenen Umweltreize erfolgt. Dabei wird das, was subjektiv als wesentlich gesehen wird, in der Stresssituation des Konflikts weitestgehend vom Gefühl der Unsicherheit und des Bedroht-Seins bestimmt. Als Folge blenden die Streitenden alles Positive und Hilfreiche in der Gegenpartei aus, und suchen ihre Umwelt nach potenziellen Gefahrenquellen ab.

This book is about reactions to interpersonal conflict such as avoiding, negotiating, and fighting. It breaks away from the prevailing assumption that conflict behaviours are mutually isolated reactions having mutually isolated effects. Instead, reactions are viewed as components of complex conflict behaviour that influence each other's impact on the substantive and relational outcomes. The simultaneous and sequential occurrence of, for example, problem solving and fighting should therefore be studied together and not separately. The author presents a ladder of stepwise increases in theoretical quality, and designs the sequence of chapters in such a way that the theoretical value increases step by step. The lower steps lead to the description of behavioural components and to a model of integrative and distributive dimensions. The upper steps lead to the dimensions of dual concern for one's own and the other's goals and to complexity explanations in terms of the novel paradigm of conglomerated conflict behaviour. The chapters are summarised into thirty-four interrelated propositions. Six empirical studies demonstrate the validity of crucial propositions at each level of the theoretical framework. This monograph primarily reaches out to an academic readership.
