Mika Wickström on kirjoittanut sekä kauno- ja tietokirjallisuutta. Hänen tuotannossaan on lukuisia urheiluaiheisia kirjoja, mm. Helsingin olympiakisojen juhlahistoriikki Helsinki 1952 (2002) sekä vuoden urheilukirjaksi valittu romaani Kunniakierros (1998). Wickström on syntynyt Tampereella vuonna 1965. Hän on opiskellut suomea, psykologiaa ja tiedotusoppia Turun yliopistossa. Vuodesta 1993 hän on asunut Helsingissä ja työskennellyt kirjailijana ja freelance-toimittajana. Wickström kuuluu myös kulttuuriryhmä Kivipään ja kirjailijoiden jalkapalloseura FC Kynän perustajiin.
