Melody deve ricordare chi è per salvare Inventia e riportare la creatività sulla Terra Melody è una ragazzina di 14 anni ma porta già sulle spalle il peso di una vita difficile: ha infatti perso i genitori in un incidente e, con loro, la memoria. Ospite di una casa-famiglia, da un po’ di tempo riceve le visite di Arteris, un ragazzino dalle facoltà magiche che le chiede di esprimere tre desideri. Melody ha sempre quello in testa: poter avere di nuovo accanto i suoi genitori. Per il resto ha il vuoto dentro e nemmeno comprende le insistenze del ragazzino, che forse appartiene ai suoi sogni. Ma Arteris è verissimo e si muove tra i mondi, usando dei portali. Tra questi, c’è un regno, governato da Djamila, la splendida Dama Dorata che trema per il destino che grava su Inventia. Hanno bisogno che torni la Vestale, custode della Fonte che si sta inesorabilmente essiccando. E quella vestale è proprio la ragazzina che ha perso la memoria. A cercare di impedirne il risveglio, è Alcamo il Grigio, un losco individuo che cerca di gettare zizzania. A dargli manforte, attacchi che mettono a rischio la Dama Dorata, in un momento di pace. La fonte di Inventia è fondamentale per mantenere la creatività sulla Terra e, al contempo, la creatività terrestre la tiene viva. Melody è estremamente creativa; ma l’amnesia ha in parte bloccato le sue potenzialità. Se non fosse che Arteris, con le sue incursioni, inizia a smuoverle qualcosa. I ricordi affiorano, malgrado gli interventi di Alcamo; i tempi, però stringono, senza contare che Nimbus, il signore Oscuro, sta preparando il suo attacco, complici eventi esterni di cui accusa Djamila, sempre più debole. Inventia sembra spacciata, la battaglia si profila come distruttiva, ma il risveglio della vestale è imminente. Roberta De Tomi è nata a Mirandola (Modena) nel 1981. Laureata al Dams di Bologna, allieva di Bottega Finzioni nel 2019, dopo aver lavorato nel giornalismo e negli eventi per diversi anni, ha iniziato a occuparsi di scrittura a 360°, lavorando come copy e ghostwriter freelance. Nel 2012 ha curato, insieme al poeta modenese Luca Gilioli, l’antologia lirica solidale La luce oltre le crepe (Bernini). Dal 2014 ha iniziato a pubblicare con alcuni editori indipendenti: Come sedurre le donne (HOW2 Edizioni), il retelling Alice nel labirinto (Dae Editore, 2017), da cui è nato il saggio il lingua inglese Post-Alice: from Wonderland to the Labyrinth, passing through a cultural Looking Glass, inserito nella pubblicazione accademica Pop- & post- Contemporary Routes in English Culture (Aras Edizioni). Nel 2022 è stata co-sceneggiatrice di Ricostruzione. Emilia-Romagna 2012-2022, prodotto da Wildcom Italia e ha pubblicato Alyssa, l’ultima sirenetta (DAE). Con Delos Digital ha prodotto diversi racconti lunghi/romanzi tra cui Chick Girl- Azalee per Veridiana (2016), Trappola d’ardesia (2020) edito in cartaceo nel 2021 da Sága Edizioni, Abuso d’amore (2022) e Gen-Z. Zombie in una notte di mezza estate (2023). Nel 2024 ha partecipato all’antologia Il dio del rock è severo ma giusto (Les Flâneurs Edizioni), a cura di Eliselle e Gianluca Morozzi, e pubblicato L’angelo caduto di Feerilandia” (Sága Edizioni). Suoi racconti e poesie sono presenti in antologie e in riviste letterarie on e offline.
