Robot plotter dapat dimanfaatkan untuk membantu memudahkan pemahaman materi yaitu berpikir logika mengenai arah dan sudut (trigonometri) dengan adanya visualisasi pergerakan suatu robot yang dapat maju, mundur, belok kekiri - kekanan sesuai arah sudut yang dituju dengan menggambar tanda garis yang dilaluinya. Secara umum robot plotter terdiri dari mekanik penggeser sumbu x, sumbu y dan menaikkan/menurunkan pena yang masing-masing dikendalikan dengan satu buah motor/servo motor, motor-motor tersebut dapat dikendalikan pergerakannya melalui mikrokontroler dan driver penguat, selanjutnya mikrokontroler dikendalikan dengan komputer melalui komunikasi nirkabel (WiFi). Robot Plotter yang dibuat dan bentuk mekanik dibuat berbentuk konsep Turtle-Robot. Sedangkan perangkat lunak terdapat pada 2 bagian, di bagian komputer dan di bagian NodeMCU, perangkat lunak di bagian komputer merupakan perangkat lunak aplikasi untuk pemakai (user) memasukan sederetan instruksi logis sesuai dengan dengan bahasa turtle-graphics, sedangkan program pada NodeMCU merupakan program untuk menerjemahkan tiap baris instruksi berformat turtle-graphics menjadi pergerakan robot plotter (stepper motor) dan pergerakan posisi motor servo untuk menaikkan/menurunkan pena. Robot plotter nirkabel yang direalisasikan berhasil bergerak sesuai dengan instruksi logika dan nantinya siap digunakan untuk melatih pola pemikiran logika melalui sederetan sintak “turtle graphics”.
