Wie im Zuge dieser Studie dargestellt wird, verpflichten die F„higkeiten zu Empathie und Theory of Mind uns mithilfe des Analogieschlusses dazu, das geringere šbel fr andere bewusst fhlende Lebewesen zu w„hlen oder m”glichst ganz zu vermeiden, wo und wann immer dies m”glich ist. Warum die vorherrschenden Konzeptionen von Moral unzureichend sind und eine Ausdehnung der menschlichen Moral auf nichtmenschliche Spezies zu fordern ist, soll ausgehend von aktuellen Erkenntnissen der Neurowissenschaften sowie bestehender Tierethik-Konzepte in diesem Buch dargestellt und in ein neues Konzept der Fairness-Ethik eingebunden werden. Da eine Nichteinbeziehung anderer leidensf„higer Spezies in die menschliche Moral in den allermeisten F„llen zu negativen Konsequenzen fr die Spezies Mensch fhrt, ist der zugrundeliegende pathozentrische Ansatz in letzter Konsequenz zugleich auch ein anthropozentrischer.

Warum essen Menschen gerne Fleisch und welche Folgen hat der Fleischkonsum? Zur Beantwortung dieser und ähnlicher Fragen benötigen Lernende Bewertungskompetenz. Doch diese lässt sich nicht so leicht entwickeln. Ethische Bewertungen sind durch Moralvorstellungen gekennzeichnet. Weil solche Vorstellungen im Biologieunterricht den Ausgangspunkt für das Lernen bilden, wird deren Genese mithilfe der kognitiven Metapherntheorie erläutert. Im Modell der didaktischen Rekonstruktion werden Vorstellungen zu tierethischen Problemfeldern interdisziplinär durchleuchtet und mithilfe der Ergebnisse der empirischen Studie Lernangebote zur Förderung von Bewertungskompetenz entwickelt. Ziel der Auseinandersetzung ist es, eigene Perspektiven und Vorstellungen zu benennen, zu reflektieren, neue Perspektiven einzunehmen und multiperspektivisch zu argumentieren.

The articles collected in the present volume were written during a period of more than 30 years, the ?rst having been published in 1929, the last in 1961. They are arranged here in a systematic, not a chronological, order, starting from a few articles mainly concerned with psychological m- ters and then passing on to phenomenology in the proper sense. Within the latter group, the sequence is from articles dealing with more g- eral questions of principle to those in which rather special questions are discussed. The articles are reprinted or translated unchanged except for “phenomenology of Thematics and of the Pure Ego,” in which a certain number of pages have been omitted because the author has long since come to consider them erroneous. Almost all of the articles are in the service of Husserlian phenomen- ogy, which they are intended to advance and to develop further rather than merely expound. When the author made his ?rst acquaintance with Husserl’s philosophy about 40 years ago, he was overwhelmed by the spirit of uncompromising integrity and radical philosophical respon- bility, by the total devotedness which made the man disappear behind his work.
