Die Beiträge dieses Bandes diskutieren die aktuellen Diskursverschiebungen der Kapitalismusanalyse und -kritik, die auf die „neoliberale“ Transformation des kapitalistischen Systems antworten. Sie lassen sich dabei von der Frage leiten, wie eine theoretisch schlüssige und praktisch aussichtsreiche Kapitalismuskritik zu konzipieren ist, nachdem die klassischen Instrumente der Gesellschaftskritik in vielfacher Weise diskreditiert sind und sich als stumpf und überholt erwiesen haben. Der erste Teil des Bandes versammelt Beiträge, in denen wichtige Stränge der aktuellen Kapitalismuskritik vorgestellt und kritisch diskutiert werden. Die Arbeiten des zweiten Teiles wenden sich – zentriert um Begriffe wie „Exklusion“, „Prekarität“ oder „neue Armut“ – den neuen Ungleichheiten und Konfliktlinien im „postfordistisch“ transformierten Kapitalismus zu. Im Mittelpunkt der Beiträge des dritten Teiles steht die Frage nach praktisch-politischen Widerstandspotenzialen und Gegenentwürfen gegen die schrankenlose Durchkapitalisierung der Welt.
