Hegel’s Foundation Free Metaphysics demonstrates that by reading Hegel’s Doctrine of the Concept in his Science of Logic as a form of Absolute Dialetheism, Hegel’s logic of the concept can account for the possibility of absolute existence. Through a close examination of Hegel’s concept of self-referential universality in his Science of Logic, Moss demonstrates how Hegel’s concept of singularity is designed to solve a host of metaphysical and epistemic paradoxes central to this problematic. The most widely accepted view in the West today, particularly among postmodernists, is that Plato attempted to ground politics on a rational metaphysics and initiated the tradition of foundationalism that has given rise to systems of oppression ranging from racism, sexism, and ethnocentrism to the technological mastery of the earth. Metaphysics as Rhetoric controverts this view, arguing that Plato was not the originator of this metaphysical tradition. Using as a basis the tenth-century Muslim philosopher Alfarabi's interpretation of Plato, especially his Summary of Plato's "Laws", Parens shows that what appears to be Plato's metaphysics was intended as a rhetorical defense of his politics. Parens demonstrates that rather than seek to establish politics on the definitive metaphysical ground, Alfarabi's Plato analyzes politics on its own terms, phenomenologically.

A new 2024 translation of Immanuel Kant's paper "Metaphysical Foundations of Natural Science" from the original German manuscript first published in 1785. This new edition contains an afterword by the translator, a timeline of Kant's life and works, and a helpful index of Kant's key concepts and intellectual rivals. This translation is designed for readability, rendering Kant's enigmatic German into the simplest equivalent possible, and removing the academic footnotes to make this critically important historical text as accessible as possible to the modern reader. Published one year before the Critique of Pure Reasons, Metaphysical Foundations is Kant's methodology which would be used in his famous Critique. He attempts to deconstruct an Empiricist Epistemology and show that a priori principles, which are inherently metaphysical in nature, are necessary for the possibility of science to happen in the first place. He is reconciling the new mechanical causality concepts created by Newton with their philosophic preconceptions. While his theory of Phoronomy and movement are not useful to modern physics, this work outlines some basic Epistemological Platonic criticisms of Material Determinism which would be proven Empirically, ironically, by Einstein's Quantum theories and modern theories of perceptual consciousness. One of the most fascinating contributions Kant brings to modern Science through this work is in Quantum Mechanics. Kant, not Newton or Einstein, was the first to posit the theory of "action at a distance" which would eventually be proven by the observation of Quantum Entanglement. In the second section of this treaty, he writes Theorem 7 as "The attraction essential to all matter is a direct effect of the same on others through empty space" Kant's Foundations is a great primer on his Critique and outlines the pure materialism, and the Humic ethics which follows, against which Kant is attempting to correct.

Based on the influential metaphysical concepts of yin-yang, dao, and li in traditional Chinese philosophy and a clarification of their metaphysical objects, methods, and purpose, Reconstructing Metaphorical Metaphysics in Traditional Chinese Philosophy: Meta-One and Harmony proposes three new metaphysical categories: Meta-One (??), Multi-One (??), and Utter-One (??). These categories describe three dynamic stages of development, which are associated with four dynamical models of harmony: potential and factual, temporary and permanent, partial and full harmonies, and four models of static harmonies (unitary, binary, ternary, and multiple). In order to outline methodological principles for metaphorical metaphysics, Derong Chen classifies general metaphysical methods into direct vs. indirect, positive vs. negative, and logical vs. metaphorical methods, and establishes various methodological principles based on the features of Meta-One, Multi-One, and Utter-One, respectively. Chen argues that this new system of metaphorical metaphysics is rooted in and developed from traditional Chinese philosophy and is the metaphysical foundation of natural, social-political, ethical, moral philosophy, and aesthetics in the twenty-first century.
