Sí, estoy seguro de cómo comenzó esta locura. Estaba bebiendo como cada sábado y de pronto me llegó ese recuerdo, de esos que crees que estaban olvidados. Que en tu mente creíste que ya no existían más o que tan sólo era una imagen difusa de tu pasado. Sí, lo recuerdo bien, esa noche algo me dijo que la locura hacía su aparición. ¿Cómo un simple recuerdo puede volverte loco? Es impresionante como de un momento a otro se puede perder el piso, la realidad, la cordura, la sensatez. Estar loco de repente es como cualquier otra enfermedad. Un día estás bien y al otro eres diabético, una semana antes eras una persona sana y una mañana, sin ni siquiera esperarlo amaneces con un dolor de rodilla. O como mi abuela Petra, que se fue a dormir tranquila y en la mañana cuando despertó, había perdido la vista. Así, sin más. Lo mismo sucede con el cigarrillo; fumo sin saber cuál será el que ocasione un declive en mi vida. O ese último trago que dinamite el último esfuerzo de mi hígado. Así son la mayoría de las enfermedades. Muchas de ellas te llegan sin previo aviso y ni cuenta te diste cuando ya las tenías encima de ti, viviendo de ti, muriendo con ellas. Mi locura no fue así; mi enfermedad yo la ocasioné, lo recuerdo bien. Fue un simple recuerdo, uno de los que creía olvidados. Y después mi locura no dio marcha atrás, La alimenté, la acepté como se acepta lo inevitable. Como hace un alcohólico cuando sabe que mismo si deja de beber, igual morirá de cirrosis. Así acepté mi locura que de un recuerdo pasó a ser una imagen, una ilusión, una mentira hecha realidad que podría pasar a una eternidad. De repente te das cuenta que tu realidad no podrá volver a ser la misma. Tu locura avanza vertiginosamente cada vez más sin poder evitarlo, sin poderla detener. Ves gente, mundos, vidas. Eres capaz de ver los sonidos y escuchar los silencios. Dejé que mi locura me atrapara, simplemente me dejé llevar por ella. Se adueñó de mí. Y cuando menos lo esperaba...mi locura ya estaba escribiendo. Cuauhtémoc Ponce.

Gracias por ser una vez más parte de mi locura, esta es la tercera entrega de relatos, microrrelatos, cuentos y algo más. Pero ahora creo que tiene un extra, algunas historias que encontrarán, sobre todo en las que terminarán en «Confesiones» que, algunos relatos fueron a causa de mi imaginación, y otros los recibí por personas anónimas; que decidieron contarme sus “confesiones” y, a decir verdad, no tengo las pruebas que sean ciertas, pero tampoco dudo de su veracidad, porque tenemos que reconocer que la realidad suele superar a la ficción. Así que gracias por leerme una vez más y, poco a poco se van alcanzando mis objetivos que no es gracias a mi locura, es gracias a los cientos de personas que me leen a diario. The Spanish poet Juan Ramón Jiménez (1881–1958; Nobel laureate 1956) wrote at a key moment in literary history. Since Jiménez’s lyrical output covers the poetic tradition from Romanticism through Symbolism to the Avant-Gardes, his work can be regarded as a condensation of the modern paradigm. Julio Jensen investigates the lyrical subject appearing in Jiménez’s poetry as exemplary of the notion of modern subjectivity. He does so by assuming a historical correlation between literature and philosophy in the sense that if philosophical discourse conceptualizes the prevailing understanding of the human being at a given moment, literary discourse represents it. Modern thought does not accept any other foundation than subjectivity. At the same time, the awareness of the subject’s finitude engenders pessimism with respect to its status as world-generating principle. One of the primary aims of this study, then, is to show how Jiménez poignantly enacts this vacillation between self-enthronement and self-eradication. With insightful readings of Jiménez’s poetry, the author opens a rich vein in the work of a writer who would serve as a central reference for later Spanish-language poets such as Federico Garcá Lorca, Pablo Neruda and Octavio Paz.
