Su espléndio testimonio, rendido en Mi luchca por la tierra, es un fragmento vivo de esa historia y posee tal fuerza de ideas que convierte una narración de hechos reales en una suerte de manifesto político de gran peso histórico y moral, y en un "reportaje" que no está muy lejos de la gran literatura contemporánea.

La estadia de Hitler en la prision de Landsberg le permitio organizar sus ideas, que dicto a diversos secretarios. El resultado seria una obra titulada Mein Kampf (Mi Lucha), aunque originalmente habia planeado llamarla Cuatro anos de lucha contra mentiras, estupidez y cobardia. Esta obra, dedicada a Dietrich Eckart, era una autobiografia y, mas importante aun, una exposicion de la ideologia nacionalsocialista. A traves de sus 412 paginas, Hitler detallo los pasos que un futuro Estado aleman nacionalsocialista debia seguir para finalmente convertirse en el �amo del mundo�. Primero aboga por la conclusion definitiva de la hostilidad franco-germana, que se lograr�a con la destrucci�n de Francia. Una vez conseguido esto, Alemania finalmente se encontraria en libertad de expandirse, con el objetivo de conseguir el llamado �espacio vital aleman�. Hitler concluye que el Tercer Reich no debe buscar colonias en Asia o Africa, sino que debe expandirse hacia el este, a expensas de Rusia. Aunque reconoce que diversos pueblos ya habitan en Europa oriental, asegura que el pueblo aleman tiene el derecho de desalojar a sus ocupantes: "...La naturaleza no ha reservado esta tierra para la futura posesion de una nacion o raza en particular; por el contrario, esta tierra existe para el pueblo que posea la fuerza de tomarla.." Acerca de la expansion alemana hacia el este. Hitler considera que la conquista de Rusia sera relativamente facil, ya que los bolcheviques la controlan, y por lo tanto los judios. En cuanto a la politica interior del Tercer Reich, Hitler claramente define que el sistema de gobierno sera una dictadura: Ademas, el Estado tendra muy poco que ver con la economia, ya que en realidad sera un �organismo racial�. Despues de establecer que la raza aria es superior sobre el resto, asegura que la misma debe subyugar a las demas para poder �preservar e incrementar la cultura�. Concluye que los alemanes se encuentran en el estado actual debido a que no preservaron su raza pura, y �gradualmente perdieron su creatividad cultural�. Despues de escribir esto, no es sorprendente que determine que el principal proposito del Estado nazi sea: "..La preservacion de los elementos raciales originales que confieren cultura y crean la belleza y la dignidad de una humanidad superior." In New Mexico's Moses, Ramón A. Gutiérrez dives deeply into Reies López Tijerina's religious formation during the 1940s and 1950s, illustrating how his Pentecostal foundation remained an integral part of his psyche even as he migrated toward social-movement politics. An Assemblies of God evangelist turned Pentecostal itinerant preacher, Tijerina used his secularized apocalyptic theology to inspire the dispossessed heirs of Spanish and Mexican land grants fighting to recuperate ancestral lands throughout northern New Mexico and the Southwest. Using Tijerina's collected sermons, Gutiérrez demonstrates the ways in which biblical prophecy influenced Tijerina throughout his life from his early days as a preacher to his leadership of the Alianza Federal de Mercedes. Tijerina sought justice for those who had lost their lands and was determined to eradicate the most egregious forms of racism and to valorize the language and culture of mexicanos. Land Uprising reframes Indigenous land reclamation as a horizon to decolonize the settler colonial conditions of literary, intellectual, and activist labor. Simón Ventura Trujillo argues that land provides grounding for rethinking the connection between Native storytelling practices and Latinx racialization across overlapping colonial and nation-state forms. Trujillo situates his inquiry in the cultural production of La Alianza Federal de Mercedes, a formative yet understudied organization of the Chicanx movement of the 1960s and 1970s. La Alianza sought to recover Mexican and Spanish land grants in New Mexico that had been dispossessed after the Mexican-American War. During graduate school, Trujillo realized that his grandparents were activists in La Alianza. Written in response to this discovery, Land Uprising bridges La Alianza’s insurgency and New Mexican land grant struggles to the writings of Leslie Marmon Silko, Ana Castillo, Simon Ortiz, and the Zapatista Uprising in Chiapas, Mexico. In doing so, the book reveals uncanny connections between Chicanx, Latinx, Latin American, and Native American and Indigenous studies to grapple with Native land reclamation as the future horizon for Chicanx and Latinx indigeneities.

This collection presents a rich, multidisciplinary inquiry into the role of religion in the Mexican American community.
