The majority of the vocabulary used in these mini-comics has been taken from the 1974 Cherokee English Dictionary. Each story story uses increasingly more complex grammar rules. One of the keys to acquiring a new language is to learn the patterns that make up the language. Simply learning phrases so you can speak "pidgin" Cherokee is not learning Cherokee.
