Micronano Integration written by Harald Knobloch and has been published by Springer Science & Business Media this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2012-12-06 with Technology & Engineering categories.

In recent years, micro- and nanotechnologies became key technologies, having a significant effect on the development of new products and production technologies, as well as on novel medical diagnosis and treatment methods. Moreover, due to their enormous potential for new applications, micro- and nanotechnologies, in future, will increasingly affect our every days life, with an impact, comparable to that of the industrial revolution in the 19th century, or the developments in microelectronics in the 20th century. Although, micro- and nanotechnologies, in general, are regarded as two independent disciplines, there is obviously an intense interaction between these two fascinating technologies. The term "MicroNano Integration", in this context, addresses the enormous potential of synergy effects, provided by the combination and mutual integration of micro- and nanotechnological elements. In order to discuss the integration aspects of micro- and nanotechnologies, the "International Forum on MicroNano Integration", a conference, held in Potsdam, Germany on December 3-4, 2003 brought together researchers from both communities - from industries as well as from scientific institutions. The contributions to this book reflect the discussions during the conference.

Micro Nano Integrated Fabrication Technology And Its Applications In Microenergy Harvesting written by Xiao-Sheng Zhang and has been published by Springer this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2015-12-01 with Technology & Engineering categories.

This book presents a universal mass-production micro/nano integrated fabrication technology, which can be used to realize micro/nano hierarchical structures on Si-based materials and flexible polymeric materials. This fabrication technology has been systematically investigated by using experimental measurements, mechanism analyses, theoretical simulations and so on. Three common materials (i.e., silicon, PDMS and Parylene-C) with micro/nano hierarchical structures have been successfully fabricated, which also show several attractive properties. Furthermore, this book introduces this fabrication technology into microenergy field, and proposes several high-performance nanogenerators, of which practical applications have also been studied in commercial electronic device and biomedical microsystem.

Nanobiomaterials: Research Trends and Applications – Biomaterials are derived from natural resources such as plants, animals and marine sources. These biomaterials have advanced applications, across a range of key industries due to their low cost, being easy to process, being biocompatible and so on. The modification of biomaterials in the nanoform enhances their applications. The book begins with an overview of nanobiomaterials, processing, classifications, fabrication and sustainability. In-depth chapters in Part I address the most recent methods and techniques for physicochemical characterisation, processing of blends and composites based on nanomaterials, and separation. Chapters in Part II focus on the biological and biomedical applications specifically in antimicrobial chemotherapy, drug delivery, tissue engineering, cancer therapeutics, robust biosolar cells, and 3D printing. The chapters in Part III mostly focus on environmental applications, including wastewater treatment, water desalination, bioremediation, and agricultural uses. The book is extremely useful for scientists, R&D specialists, designers, and engineers across sectors and disciplines who are interested in using biopolymers for parts and products.
