Teacher Beliefs As A Complex System English Language Teachers In China written by Hongying Zheng and has been published by Springer this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2015-10-05 with Education categories.

The volume is a practical introduction to the ways in which the teachers deal with classroom events in the context of change for researchers, teachers, administrators who wish to implement curriculum reform to EFL in schools. The author provides insights into the beliefs of Chinese teachers of English as a Foreign Language (EFL), and their pedagogical choices in the context of the National English Curriculum Reform. The complex nature of EFL teachers’ beliefs about EFL teaching and learning are exposed, how their beliefs interact with mental and actionable processes triggered by classroom practice, and how their beliefs co-adapt with contexts to maintain the stability of the teachers’ belief systems. This is the first study to present complexity theory in a narrative context of education, exploring the non-linear and unpredictable features of the relationship between the teachers’ beliefs and practices. Integrating complexity theory with interpretivist, ecological and sociocultural perspectives, this book contributes to the research agenda by providing a systematic framework for examining teacher beliefs as a whole, and examining the extent to which western theory may be applied to Chinese educational contexts.

The multi-billion-dollar microsystem packaging business continues to play an increasingly important technical role in today’s information industry. The packaging process—including design and manufacturing technologies—is the technical foundation upon which function chips are updated for use in application systems, and it is an important guarantee of the continued growth of technical content and value of information systems. Introduction to Microsystem Packaging Technology details the latest advances in this vital area, which involves microelectronics, optoelectronics, RF and wireless, MEMS, and related packaging and assembling technologies. It is purposefully written so that each chapter is relatively independent and the book systematically presents the widest possible overview of packaging knowledge. Elucidates the evolving world of packaging technologies for manufacturing The authors begin by introducing the fundamentals, history, and technical challenges of microsystems. Addressing an array of design techniques for packaging and integration, they cover substrate and interconnection technologies, examples of device- and system-level packaging, and various MEMS packaging techniques. The book also discusses module assembly and optoelectronic packaging, reliability methodologies and analysis, and prospects for the evolution and future applications of microsystems packaging and associated environmental protection. With its research examples and targeted reference questions and answers to reinforce understanding, this text is ideal for researchers, engineers, and students involved in microelectronics and MEMS. It is also useful to those who are not directly engaged in packaging but require a solid understanding of the field and its associated technologies.

Current mainstream theories of physics, the Standard Model of particle physics and the General Theory of Relativity, are incompatible due to the different mechanisms that they offer as explanations of fundamental energy interactions. This is considered the main problem for unifying them into a ‘theory of everything.’ Unfortunately, the problems are not limited to this issue. Both theories contain arbitrary variables and constants that do not have any physical meaning and are fitted to the results of experimental tests every time the predictions fail. Moreover, the equations lead to infinities that are hidden by mathematical tricks to adjust the solutions to reality. Many physicists consider this internal inconsistency to be a sign of the mathematical ingenuity of the models. However, the sad truth is that the descriptive and explanatory basis of the models is a muddle and the predictive power is zero. Thus, they are practically useless. On top of this, both postulate the existence of virtual entities responsible for observable physical interactions. This means that the models have become metaphysical belief systems. Some physicists dare to correctly call the situation the fall of theoretical physics as a science. To see it rise, we need an alternative path. In the second volume, the author continues to build the Theory of Energy Harmony based on the model of the universal mechanism proposed in the first part of the study. This mechanism underlies all fundamental interactions and can be called a unifying physical principle. The model does not use any virtual “ghosts” or arbitrary postulated parameters. It is self-consistent and adequate to reality. It contains only empirically verifiable assumptions and predictions. This is a paradigm shift that takes us back to physics.

Employing a mixed-method approach, the book investigates the psychology of English as a Foreign Language (EFL) teachers in the online teaching environment in China during the COVID-19 pandemic. Specifically, questionnaires were conducted on Chinese EFL teachers to explore the profiles of EFL teachers’ anxiety, self-efficacy, buoyancy and engagement. Additionally, semi-structured interviews were used to demystify their psychological growth in the dynamic interaction with ecological environments, thus constructing an ecological model of EFL teacher psychology in online teaching. The book provides new insights into EFL teacher psychology and theoretical references for building a functional ecosystem for the professional development of EFL teachers. The book will be of interest to researchers in teacher psychology, language teachers and practitioners, especially those working in the complex technology-based educational environment, and policy makers in foreign language education.

Challenging The Conventional Wisdom About Residential Care For Children And Youth written by Bruce B. Henderson and has been published by Taylor & Francis this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2023-12-01 with Psychology categories.

Is residential care 'inherently harmful'? This book argues that this conventional wisdom is wrong and is, itself, harmful to a significant number of children and youth. The presumptive view is based largely on overgeneralizations from research with infants and very young children raised in extremely deprived environments. A careful analysis of the available research supports the use of high-quality residential care as a treatment of choice with certain groups of needy children and youth, not a last resort intervention. The nature of high-quality care is explored through child development theory and research and two empirically supported models of care are described in detail. It will be of interest to all scholars and students of child development, child welfare, youth work, social work and education as well as professionals working within these fields.

The Cognosystemic Theory of Human Psychosocial Relational Construction (TCCR) is an original theoretical proposal developed by Chilean social worker Jalin Simunovic Menares. It was conceived in response to the need for an autonomous, coherent, and systematic disciplinary framework for Social Work at the global level. By integrating philosophical, psychosocial, narrative, and systemic approaches, this work analyzes how intersubjective systems of meaning shape human experience and psychosocial reality. The author introduces concepts such as the “Cognosystem,” “cognosystemic layers,” and the “cognosystemic meme” as analytical axes for understanding the narrative processes that structure social life, enabling context-sensitive and theoretically grounded interventions. This book is positioned as a significant contribution for researchers, professionals, and students interested in strengthening Social Work as a genuine science of human relationality. With precise language and a solid epistemological foundation, the TCCR offers an innovative theoretical tool to address the complexity of contemporary psychosocial phenomena.
